Retribution is a flashy finisher move that does heavy damage to all and every enemy in Stellar Blade. It is a special attack that can only be done after performing certain actions that allow you to release a hard-hitting stylish move that can potentially take down your enemy in one fell swoop.
However, it is not everyone’s cup of tea to perform Retribution as it requires experienced gaming skills to ensure its proper execution. Here is how you can do it too.
1. How to perform Retribution in Stellar Blade?
To perform Retribution in Stellar Blade:
- Notice the Yellow Diamond bar right below the enemy’s health bar.
2. Parry Enemy’s attack as many times as the number of the Yellow Diamonds in the bar.
3. Quickly press the Triangle Button on your PlayStation controller to execute Retribution.
Retribution can only be performed after you have drained an enemy’s yellow diamond bar by parrying (deflecting their attacks using your own weapon) certain number of their attacks.
The yellow bar indicates the stability of an enemy, when it is completely depleted, the enemy staggers. It basically means that parrying all the attacks, staggers your enemies which opens up a window for a retribution.
Therefore, it is better choice to parry attacks in Stellar Blade instead of dodging and running away.
If the enemy does not die immediately after using the Retribution, then it will stand up again with a refreshed yellow diamond bar.
Thus, to perform a Retribution attack again on the same enemy you will have to drain its yellow diamond bar again.
