Easy Guide to obtain Sun Wukong’s Jingubang Staff in Black Myth: Wukong

It’s true that there is a scarcity of weapons in Black Myth: Wukong. However, you can’t argue that they don’t get the job done. No matter how challenging a boss may be, the role of your staff is just as important in defeating said boss. That being said, have you heard of the Jingubang Staff?

Sun Wukong’s Jingubang Staff is one of the strongest staffs in Black Myth: Wukong. It is located inside the Water Curtain Cave in Chapter 6. Acquiring this weapon is no cakewalk. To obtain it, you need to defeat the following four bosses:

  • Gold Armored Rhino
  • Cloudtreading Deer
  • Feng-Tail General
  • Emerald-Armed Mantis

Your focus should be on destroying the Rhino’s horn. Even after the horn breaks, you must attack it until it regrows. Keep repeating this process until the boss is finally defeated.

Dodge his attacks and build up focus. When there’s an opportunity, do a Heavy Attack on its horn.

Cloudtreading Deer

The Cloudtreading Deer is a massive deer specializing in wind attacks. Although its health runs out quickly, the deer can be challenging due to its ranged attacks and retreats. In the first phase, it will use attacks like Horn Whirlwind, Horn Shove, etc.

However, the second phase is not as easy. It can cast tornadoes or go for a blood-based attack. Regardless, if you are hit, you can lose up to 50% of your health. In this fight, quick attacks are your savior.

Feng-Tail General

Use the Somersault Cloud to get on its back and attack its antennae. The boss will start moving and jumping around to decrease your stamina. If your Stamina is running low, you will be thrown off its back in no time. So make sure to upgrade your Stamina before the fight.

Emerald-Armed Mantis

There are two phases in this fight so preserve your spells for the latter half. When the Mantis attacks using his claws, try to dodge until he burrows his claws. It will take him a few seconds to pull them back out so use this time to strike.

In the second phase, use Immobilize to break his flow. The boss can move swiftly and slice frequently. So you need to watch your back. After landing the first heavy blow, use A Pluck of Many to attack aggressively.

After defeating the bosses mentioned above, you need to make your way to another location.

Rise above the arena where you fought the Emerald-Armed Mantis using your Somersault Cloud.

Look for a golden leafed tree with a waterfall beside it. Head over there and enter the small passageway.

At the end of the passageway, interact with the staff placed there to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene is over, you will be given the Jingubang Staff.
