How to level up weapons fast in Modern Warfare 2?

Since Modern Warfare 2’s worldwide launch last Friday, players have been grinding hard to unlock camos and max out their guns. All of the unlockable content requires intense grinding by the player.

However, to unlock all attachments for a specific gun does not require the gun to be at max level via the new Receiver system. Thanks to the new way of levelling up fast, you can unlock the mastery camos and all the attachments in absolutely no time.

In order to level up your guns fast in MW 2, you need to enter an Invasion game and kill AI with the weapon that you’ve chosen to level up, as they award huge amounts of weapon XP as compared to normal players. Best to land at the edges of the map where the AI usually lands.

Before launching an Invasion game, make sure to follow these steps below and follow further to properly execute the process:

Use a Double Weapon XP token before launching a match, if possible.
Create a class with the weapon you want to level up, as well as a Tactical Insertion and Munitions Box (if possible) to make this method easier.
Load into the Invasion playlist.
Drop into the outskirts/edges of the map to avoid real players and find out AI players in different areas of their spawn point.
Take out as many AI as possible with the weapon that you have chosen while they’re still weak at the start of the game.
When AI players start putting on armor, exit the match and queue up again.

Following the above steps correctly should help you level up your weapons insanely fast as opposed to normally grinding for them. Whether AI providing more Weapons XP than regular players is a bug or not is yet to be confirmed by Infinity Ward.
