God of War Ragnarok includes a wide range of creatures of all shapes and sizes. Some creatures are as small as a rat while the others take up the whole screen. The Ormrs in the game are sneaky and pesky little creatures who drop crafting loot when killed.
While completing the game’s first favour ‘In Service of Asgard’, you’ll come across an Ormr on Modvitnir’s Rig. Killing then will reward you with some crafting materials. However, trying to kill them might be a bit of a nuisance. Here’s how to kill the Ormr in Modvitnir’s Rig:
Step 1. Locate the Ormr in Modvitnir’s Rig
Once you reach Modvitnir’s Rig, dock the boat. Docking the boat will least you to a small swarm of little Wretches who you need to kill. After killing the Wretches, climb up to the next platform and look to your left.
You’ll notice there’s an Ormr hanging out, through the gaps in the wooden planks. They make a distinct squeaking noise so it is hard to miss them. However, you won’t be able to defeat it from here. Throwing your axe will cause the Ormr to dive beneath the ground. You need to think outside-the-box to kill them.
Step 2. Climb up the platform to the right of the Ormr
Once you have spotted the Ormr, turn right to notice an elevated wooden platform. Use your Leviathan Axe to open the gate,then jump across to reach the platform.
After you have reached the platform, climb up the wooden structure until you have reached the top.
Step 3. Finding a better angle
Once you have reached the top of the wooden platform, you have to look for a better angle in order to kill the Ormr. Several Wretches will attack you but they aren’t the ones you need to worry about.
From this vantage point, look back down towards the Ormr’s location. You’ll notice that you have a drop on the Ormr. Throw your axe at the sneaky creature to finally kill it.
Killing the Ormr will grant you +100 Kratos XP and +33 Atreus XP along with a few resources such as +1Rawhide, +1 Forged Iron, +1 Slag Deposit, and +4 Shattered Rune.
