Resident Evil Village is truly a delight for both horror and action lovers alike. The run and gun aspect draws the action game fans, and the shiver-inducing jump scares that attract horror fanatics make the game suited for anyone.
So, imagine the surprise when we learned that the game includes some unlockables that can be accessed after completing the game’s main storyline. Meaning we RE fans could once again enjoy the best of both worlds.
These elusive unlockables include an Unlockable Mode and some fancy Unlockable Weapons. So, if you’re thinking about what to do after speedrunning the game in 10+ hours, here’s your chance to get some new unlockable content before you once again play the waiting game for any future Resident Evil Village DLCs. Don’t know how to get these unlockables? Let me tell you all about it!
First things first, finish the game before you attempt to unlock these modes and weapons, as they can only be unlocked after you’ve completed the game once.
1. Unlockable Modes in Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village has one unlockable mode called the “Mercenaries Mode” that can be accessed through the Bonus Content Shop in the game menu.
The Mercenaries Mode gives players small quests or tasks to clear a specific area full of monsters in the game’s map and awards bonuses and new areas to explore.
I. How to Unlock the Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil Village?
To unlock the Mercenaries Mode in RE Village, players need to go to the Bonus Content Shop and unlock the mode by spending 10 CP (Completion Points). CPs are awarded when you complete the game entirely or complete some challenges in the New Game Plus mode of the game.
With the Mercenaries Mode, you can test out your shooting skills with whatever gun you have and even try out other unlockable guns in RE Village.
2. Unlockable Weapons in Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village has a total of 7 unlockable weapons in the Bonus Content Shop. The unlockable weapons include:
- WCX
- Karambit Knife
- USM-AI
- Dragoon
- Handcannon PZ
- Rocket Pistol
- LZ Answerer
Each of these weapons has its own added advantages when you try them out in the game. If you’re experimenting with the Mercenaries Mode, I’d suggest you go for the Infinite Ammo buff as well and go ham on those flesh-eating RE monsters!
I. How to Get the Unlockable Weapons in Resident Evil 8?
Unlockable Weapons can be unlocked with CP via the Bonus Content Shop in the game menu. Each weapon has a fixed amount of CP you need to spend to get the item like the Karambit Knife, which costs 10000 CP to unlock. Then you can purchase the knife from Duke’s shop for a 100 Lei.
3. How to Get CP Points in Resident Evil 8?
CP points can be gathered by completing challenges the game assigns after the player has completed the game once. These challenges are a part of the New Game Plus mode of Resident Evil Village. After one main story completion, the players can clear out hordes of zombies and monsters to complete challenges and get more CP points in the game.
You can clear out large hordes of Lycans or try your luck with defeating the mini-bosses like the deadly Varcolac Alfa. If you gather enough CP points, you can also unlock some new weapons and the Mercenaries Mode to experiment in RE Village.
Now you know exactly what to do, so go ahead and try out some of those new unlockable weapons and boost up Ethan Winters skills even more!
