Step 1: Upon entering the cave, search through the crates and two bodies at the entrance to gather items.
Step 2: Follow the tunnel deeper inside and continue forward until there is a light in the distance and a low wall that players must crouch to pass under.
Step 3: The cave will start to funnel downwards, and players will reach a small, flooded area past a small waterfall with a group of mutants that can be avoided or killed to collect Creepy Armor.
Step 4: Continue past the flooded room and follow the tunnel to a fork in the road. Take the path to the left. The way will be slightly flooded with many life jackets and tubes, leading to a larger open area.
Step 5: Continue moving forward, and to the right side of the room, players will see a smaller entry that they must crouch again to pass through.
Step 6: After passing through the small entry, players will reach another room with a slight drop and a giant body of water with a bright light towards the back. Head towards the light, and you will find the rebreather on a rock near the water.
Click “E” to pick up the rebreather and enter the inventory to equip it. Don’t forget to collect all the containers and supplies lying around.
How to get out of the rebreather cave in Sons of the Forest?
To get out of the rebreather cave in Sons of the Forest, players should first equip the rebreather they obtained. Players can use it to swim out of the cave by following the underwater tunnel back to the ocean.
To do so, jump into the large body of water with the bright light towards the back of the cave. While swimming, players should watch out for a shark that might attack.
If the shark does appear, players should wait until it is facing away before diving. The rebreather will activate once submerged, allowing players to swim through the underwater tunnel and back to the ocean.
