How to obtain the Goat Pen Master Keys in Dead Island 2: An Easy Guide

Dead Island 2’s Goat Pen is a famous influencer house in the Bel-Air neighborhood. It is home to a group of content creators and streamers who have been affected by the latest zombie outbreak. The Goat Pen is also an important location for several side quests.

One of the most challenging tasks players encounter while exploring the Goat Pen is locating the Goat Pen Master Keys, which are required to access several locked rooms inside the house.

There are two methods to get the Goat Pen Master Keys in Dead Island 2. Players can either find and kill Goat Pen Jamie, located in the bowling area of the Goat Pen, or break into the master bedroom and grab the master keys from the top of the white table beside the bed.

Players can break into the master bedroom in two ways, as described below.

1. Ways to Enter the Master Bedroom in Dead Island 2

I. Poolside entry

One way to enter the master bedroom is through the window near the poolside. Here are the steps players can follow to access it:

Step 1: Locate the swimming pool area to the right of the master bedroom.

Step 2: Break the glass fence of the pool area to gain access.

Step 3: Smash the window using a weapon to create an entry point and jump from the pool area to the window’s ledge.

Step 4: Once inside the master bedroom, locate the small white table next to the bed and grab the master keys from the table.

II. Rooftop Entry

Another way to enter the master bedroom is through the rooftop. Here are the steps players can follow:

Step 1: Head to the rooftop of the Goat Pen and locate the terrace of the master bedroom.

Step 2: Break the glass fence of the rooftop terrace to create an entry point. Jump on the white chair to avoid fall damage.

Step 3: Once inside the master bedroom, locate the small white table next to the bed and grab the master keys from the table.

2. Steps to Reach the Bowling Area to find Goat Pen Jamie in Dead Island 2

In Dead Island 2, Goat Pen Jamie has master keys in the bowling area of the Goat Pen. Players can follow these steps to get to the bowling area.

Step 1: Head to the pool area behind the Vintage Wine room.

Step 2: Locate the stairs on the left side and climb to reach the ground.

Step 3: Upon covering some distance, take a right turn and walk further until the Goat Pens Logo is visible on the wall.

Step 4: On the right side of the logo, there is an open door that leads to the bowling area.

Step 5: Enter the bowling area and start moving toward the center of the room.

Step 6: While in the bowling area, players will encounter Goat Pen Jamie.

Step 7: Engage in a fight with Goat Pen Jamie and kill him. Once he is dead, he will drop the Goat Pen Master Keys.

It’s worth noting that, to kill Goat Pen Jamie, players must first complete all of Curtis Sinclair’s side quests until they reach the Creature Comforts quest, which requires players to find vintage wine for Curtis.

To get the vintage wine, players must enter the Goat Pen’s Vintage Vine room, which requires the Goat Pen Master Keys.

3. Why are the Goat Pen Master Keys not showing up in Dead Island 2?

The Goat Pen Master Keys will not show up in Dead Island 2 if players don’t complete the required quests in the correct order. The issue is related to the game’s mechanics and not a glitch.

To get the Goat Pen Master Keys, players must first complete the Death of the Party side quest given by Curtis Sinclair. After this, they will receive a side quest called Creature Comforts, which requires them to return to the Goat Pen mansion in Bel Air.

Only after starting this side quest will players be directed to the locked master bedroom where the keys are located. Therefore, the key is unavailable until players progress through the necessary quests.
