The First Descendant has many Encrypted Vaults scattered around in the game. To open these vaults, you simply need a key. A key that will analyze and decrypt the Vaults to unlock them for you.
That is where the Code Analyzers come in. The literal keys to opening these Encrypted Vaults are all over the map. They are relatively hard to find and easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it.
1. How To Find The Code Analyzers in The First Descendant?
The Code Analyzers are drops that can be obtained from mission focused-monsters randomly in The First Descendant. They can be obtained from any area in the game. The best farm area is the Sterile Land.
The Code Analyzers are indeed drops with random frequency. There is an even rarer form of the Analyzer called the Ultra-Precision Code Analyzer.
The drop rates are very low for these items. Especially for the Ultra-Precision Analyzer, the drop rate is abysmal. You can obtain Code Analyzers from mission rewards, but that isn’t possible in the case of the Ultra-Precision Analyzers.
A great tip is to farm missions with many mobs to increase the chances of lucking out on a few Ultra-Precision Code Analyzers. The more you kill, the higher the chance.
2. Recommended Missions for Code Analyzers
There are missions that have been tried and tested to be the most optimum locations to obtain the Code Analyzers-
- Large Nuclear Reactor- This mission exists in the Classified Area region of the Sterile Lands. There is a horde of close-range enemies that you have to hold out against. It is simple in that it is quick and easy, and you don’t need to move.
- Anticipated Ambush Point- The location of this mission is the Rockfall region of the Sterile Lands. You will need Descendants with high movement speed to easily clear this one. (It has a lot of moving around, but still fairly easy to clear)
3. How To Use The Code Analyzers?
Code Analyzers are used for opening Encrypted Vaults in the First Descendant. The indication of a Vault is a hologram of a chip on the ground. An Encrypted Vault can be opened using the same rank of Analyzer.
Encrypted Vaults are of three types- Normal, Precision, and Ultra-Precision. You need the respective Code Analyzers to open the Vaults of that rank.
When you find a hologram, use your Scan button. It is the button you use to find the weaknesses of enemies. It works like a compass. The sounds it emits are an indication of the range and direction. You will get acquainted with the navigation method in just a few tries.
If you keep using the Scan, you are bound to find the location of a few Vaults. The Code Analyzer works its magic on the Vault while you play a minigame in which you have to overlap needles. Don’t worry about failure, as there’s no penalty. Keep doing it until you get it right.
The Vaults contain a variety of crafting materials as well as Negative Ion Particles to unlock Descendants and make them stronger.
