How to get the Butterfly Emissary Deviant in Once Human? How to use it?

In the world of Once Human, where aliens have caused an unwanted genetic variation in living beings, Deviants are your adorable little companions. They are like cute little creatures that join forces with you to help you in combat and survival.

One such Deviant is the Deviation O-001, known as the Butterfly Emissary, resembling a red origami butterfly. This butterfly will assail the enemy target, diverting and inflicting damage, making it a vital ally in the early stages of your journey.

1. How to get the Butterfly Emissary Deviant in Once Human?

Players can get the Butterfly Emissary Deviant by any one of the following methods in Once Human

  • Completing the Eve of the Evolution tutorial quest
  • From the GAIA Research Centre Ruins
  • Farming the Securement Silo Alpha

The Eve of the Evolution Quest is the first mission of the main questline in Once Human. After completing the mission, players can obtain Butterfly Emissary Deviant. This is the easiest method because it saves a lot of time and work.

The second method to get the Butterfly Emissary is by entering the GAIA Research Centre in the Broken Delta (4080, -6375). Go to the building and head downstairs near the 1F elevators.

The Butterfly Emissary will be near the back Glass Room next to some computers. Just ensure you’re at least level 18, as there are enemies left and right.

The last way to get the Emissary is by farming the Securement Silo Alpha dungeon (80, -3599) located in the Chalk Peak region.

After clearing the dungeon, there is a chance to obtain a Butterfly Emissary from the Boss, although it is not a guaranteed reward and may require multiple attempts.

2. How to use the Butterfly Emissary Deviant?

Before using Butterfly Emissary Deviant in combat, place it in an isolated Securement Unit in your territory. Try to fulfill its needs by adding Green Lights and Flowers to maximize its mood and power.

When you’re in battle, press the E Key to bring up a menu. From there, you can choose what the Butterfly Emissary should do. You can make it use one of its two skills or have it come back to you.

If you use Designated Target and aim the Butterfly Emissary at an enemy nearby, it will keep attacking that enemy automatically until it’s defeated or until it runs out of Deviant Power. On the other hand, if you use Auto Attack, the Butterfly Emissary will do the same thing as Designated Target but also increase the Weakspot DMG dealt to the enemy. However, using Auto Attack will use up more deviant power.
