How to obtain Blade of Mercy to dominate foes with crit-hits in the new DLC?

The Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree has a whole swathe of new content for players to explore. The talisman called Blade of Mercy is one of them. It shares the same name as the highly renowned agility weapon in Bloodborne.

The game’s difficulty has upped the ante with the new DLC. Like the other items that can be found in the DLC, the Blade of Mercy can be brought back to the main game.

1. How to Get Blade of Mercy in Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree?

The Blade of Mercy can be found in the Scorched Ruins in the Gravesite Plain area.

  1. Head to the top of the building next to the archway south of the Ruins and climb up the broken wall.
  2. Defeat or run from the enemies and climb up to the roof with the red cloth.
  3. Run ahead and enter the doorway to the left to find the chest holding the Blade of Mercy.

I. Head to the Scorched Ruins

To find the Blade of Mercy in the Elden Ring DLC you need to enter the first settlement you encounter in the Gravesite Plain region- The Scorched Ruins. This location can be found by heading in the north-eastern direction from your spawn point in the Realm of Shadow.

This location has many enemies around it, including the Furnace Golem boss. Ignore the boss but defeat the other enemies to avoid being interrupted later. After clearing the area, head to the southwest part of the settlement. Stop near the archway and look to your left where you will see a dilapidated building.

II. Enter the old house next to the archway in the Ruins

Look for the stairs in that building and go up to the second floor. Go outside from the second floor to the balcony. Look to your left to see a roof. Climb up onto the roof to get to the next building.

III. Jump to the next house and climb across the roof in red

In this building, there will be two enemies lying in wait. Defeat them or plain ignore them and run ahead through the door. Look to the right after exiting the door and climb up the roof that is covered in red cloth.

IV. Enter the doorway to the left to find the item chest

Run across the roof and enter the doorway you see to your left. Proceed towards it and open the door and you will see a dark room with a chest in the center of it, open it to obtain the Blade of Mercy Talisman.

2. How good is the Blade of Mercy?

The Blade of Mercy stands as a Talisman that is essential to the current players. It raises attack power after each critical hit. This makes it incredibly useful for the players with their gameplay focused around crit hits like Parry Builds by massively increasing their damage.

The Blade of Mercy raises a base attack after every critical hit. This Talisman is best utilized when you have a crit-focused or a Dex-based Build. To use it most efficiently you need to have other crit-related Talismans in your pouches.

3. About Elden Ring

Elden Ring is the next major title to be released by FromSoftware, the developers of Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne and the Dark Souls franchise. Elden Ring is set to release on the February 25th, 2022.
