Wuthering Waves is an open-world action RPG that is being compared to games like Genshin Impact because of its visuals and gacha-style gameplay. However, the game highly focuses on combat and weapons, which can be crafted using various resources scattered across the open world.
Scarletthorn is one such rare resource in Wuthering Waves. As the name suggests, it is a scarlet (reddish) color, thorny or spiky structured rock, which clearly stands out from the rest of the environment, and thus is easy to spot. Still, most of the gamers are having a difficult time finding and farming this crafting resource.
1. Where to find Scarletthorn in Wuthering Waves?
Scarletthorn is found on rocky surfaces alongside other ores in regions like Central Plains, Dim Forest, Whining Aix’s Mire, Desorock Highland, etc. It is present in high quantity in these regions and an effective farming route can be created to ensure regular supply of this resource.
To collect the Scarletthorn, you just have to attack it with your regular attack and hit it until the yellow bar above it reduces to zero, Once the rock crumbles down, it will be automatically added to your inventory.
2. Best Farming Routes for Scarletthorn
I. Desorock Highland
Scarletthorn ores are scattered all over the Desorock Highland. Most of it is concentrated towards the center, so just pick a location and start mining while moving ahead in the linear path as shown in the image below.
There is a good spot of Scarletthord ores slightly southwest of the Desorock Highland region as well. You can make a small visit there while moving towards the Central Plains.
II. Central Plains
Central Plains have two major and one minor farming spot. You can find four Scarletthorn spots in the village in the northern region of the Central Plains. Once, you have collected the resources here, move to the northeast to find a large quantity of Scarletthorn.
The second major spot is in the southeast peninsula where there are around 14 Scarletthorn ore spots.
III. Dim Forest
Just like Desorock Highland, Scarletthorn ores are scattered around the Dim Forest as well. They can be found next to the visible walking path, so they should be easy to spot. Just follow the route given below to farm them easily.
A small chunk of ores is also present at the region’s center. You should collect them as well before moving to Whining Aix’s Mire
IV. Whining Aix’s Mire
It has two major farming sports; one to the northeast, and the other to the southeast. The northeast route is circular while the other one is linear. Both of them are rather straightforward and do not pose any serious challenges, so choose any one location and get to mining.
3. How to use Scarletthorn in Wuthering Waves?
Scarletthord can be used to craft 3-star and 4-star weapons in Wuthering Waves. The 3-star weapons can be crafted using 10 Scarletthorn ores, while the 4-star weapons take as much as 150+ ores.
