How to clear the Red Mist and obtain the UV Portable Beam? – Redfall

In the open world of Redfall, while fighting tooth and nail against inconsiderate vampires, players will also face a new kind of foe within the world. This is the Red Mist, capable of harming players when they come in contact with it. However, there is a way to get rid of it.

The Red Mist in Redfall can be removed by defeating the creature in the middle of it with the UV Beam. The mist will contain a Bloodbag with the creature spewing out the vapor. Use the UV Beam to turn the Bloodbag to stone and destroy the statue which will clear The Red Mist.

There are instances where The Red Mist spreads over a larger area. In this case, there will be more than one Bloodbag in the mist. Players should keep an eye out for multiple Bloodbags when dealing with The Red Mist that covers a larger area.

Another easy method to clear the Red Mist is to make use of the UV Light Generator, usually found at the edges of the Red Mist. Turn on the UV Light Generator to turn the creature into a statue and get rid of the Red Mist instantly.

The only downside to this method is the lack of UV Light Generators near The Red Mists, forcing players to use ammo for the UV Portable Beam. Not every mist will contain these UV light sources so keep an eye out for the ones that have them.

How to get the UV Beam in Redfall?

Players can get the UV Beam either through the Armory or by looting crates and vampires in the open world of Redfall. Both of these methods are chance-based methods, which means that there’s no guaranteed chance to get the UV Beam. Players have to keep checking and refreshing the Armory along with exploring the world.

Armory refreshes will cost players 2,500 Support for each roll. It’s the fastest method to get the UV Portable Beam without spending time in exploring the world and searching every nook and cranny. However, it’s an expensive method.

Once players get hold of the UV Beam, they can easily get rid of The Red Mist. It is, however, unfortunate that all the ways for finding a UV Beam is RNG based which means that players could get this weapon extremely early or late in the game, depending on their luck.
