Rakshasa’s Katana Cuts Enemies Like Weeds in Shadow of Erdtree – Elden Ring

The Shadow of Erdtree DLC introduces various new items and weapons in the game including the Rakshasa’s Greatsword. This crimson-hued sword can easily be one of the most-liked weapons in the game for those who like Katanas and find them cool.

However, acquiring it is not easy. Well practically, if it was easy it would not have been in Elden Ring. But, to get it, you have to first defeat its original owner, and acquire it as a reward.

1. How to get Rakshasa’s Greatsword in Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree?

The Rakshasa’s Katana can be acquired by defeating Rakshasa, a mini-boss, who is located in the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum southeast of the Shadow Keep Main Gate Plaza site of grace and east of Moorth Ruins site of grace.

The way to the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum can only be made from the Main Gate Plaza via the Scadu Altus region, so you first need to have an idea of the Shadow Keep region otherwise the run can be too difficult to follow.

2. Reaching Scadu Altus from the Shadow Keep

To reach the desired location, you first need to make your way to the Scadu Altus region from the Shadow Keep’s hidden passageway.

Start from the Shadow Keep Main Gate Plaza site of grace and turn left to go through two small gate entrances. You will reach a massive hall-like area with wooden stairs fixed to the right wall.

4. Is Rakshasa’s Katana any good in Elden Ring?

Rakshasa’s Katana is the best greatsword in the Elden Ring because of its highest physical damage (155) and critical hit rate (100). The weapon’s length allows players to attack an enemy while keeping a good distance from them, allowing them to dodge quickly.

However, this weapon is not suitable for most players. Its bulky nature makes the player’s movement slow, which can annoy many. If we overlook this small defect, then Rakshasa’s Katana can prove to be a real asset for players.
