A new booster has arrived in Helldivers 2, called the Localization Confusion Booster, which players can unlock. What makes this booster stand out from the others in the game is its unique effect, which the game doesn’t really tell you about in detail.
It works just like any other booster; you place it on your unit before you land and let it do its job. But before you get to using the thing, first you need to unlock it, and luckily, the procedure to get it isn’t complex at all.
1. How to get Localization Confusion in Helldivers 2?
Players can get the Localization Confusion Booster through the game’s Cutting Edge Warbond battle pass. The item is available for 18 medals, and it’s one of the miscellaneous items that can be unlocked on Page 1.
The pass costs 1000 Super Credits and the Warbond takes 672 medals to be fully unlocked. You can earn medals by completing Daily Personal Order Challenges or completing missions on higher difficulties. The daily challenges reward 15 medals each upon completion, so the booster is an easy unlock.
2. How to use Localization Confusion in Helldivers 2?
To use the Localization Confusion, players must equip it in their loadouts as their chosen Booster. The booster increases the time between enemy encounters, which means it slows down the arrival of Automaton Dropships and Bug Breaches during a mission.
It slows down enemy reinforcements by increasing their cooldown, which is not only a unique perk, but it’s also extremely useful in dire situations. So when the booster is active, you’ll automatically see fewer enemy reinforcements on the battlefield.
3. Is the Localization Confusion Booster in Helldivers 2 worth it?
The Localization Confusion Booster in Helldivers 2 is more than worth it, as it helps immensely during a mission by slowing down enemy reinforcements, making it harder for enemies to swarm players.
I highly recommend it, especially on harder missions, as it’ll reduce the wave of bugs and automatons coming to attack you and your teammates. Enemies will still be wandering on the map as usual, but their reinforcements will no longer drop like they generally do.
In addition to the booster’s uses, it costs only 18 Warbond medals to unlock so you don’t need to grind a lot to get it. The perk of this Booster might not seem like a lot, but it can really turn the tide of battle, thus upholding Democracy without a hitch.
4. How to add the Localization Confusion in Loadout?
Before a mission begins, add the Localisation Confusion Booster in the loadout by selecting it as a chosen booster in the Boosters category. After doing so, it’ll be equipped and ready for use in battle.
You can change your Loadout by going to your ship’s armory and customizing it. If you forget to do so, do not worry as the game will give you a chance to change your Loadout before beginning a mission.
5. How to buy the Warbond battle pass in Helldivers 2?
The Warbond battle pass in Helldivers 2 can be purchased from the Acquisition Centre. To do so:
- Head to the ship
- Go to the main hub area where missions can be selected
- Press square on the Dualsense controller to bring up the Acquisition centre
- Purchase the Warbond battle pass from there
The Premium Warbond can be purchased for 1,000 Super Credits. Super Credits, on the other hand, can be purchased with real money or they can be found on missions but the latter is not recommended as you will only find 10 at a time.
6. How to get Super Credits in Helldivers 2?
Super Credits in Helldivers 2 can be obtained primarily through three ways:
- Purchasing it using real money
- Unlocking higher tiers in the Warbond battle pass
- Looting it during Main Missions
Purchasing it using real money is the fastest way to get Super Credits. On the other hand, some pages in the Warbond battle pass give you an option to buy 50 to 100 Super Credits for Medals. Lastly, you can obtain Super Credits by exploring and sweeping the map while doing Main Missions.
7. How to get Medals in Helldivers 2?
Medals in Helldivers 2 can be obtained by the following ways:
- Completing Daily Personal Order Challenges
- Completing higher difficulty missions
- Finding Medals by looking for points of interests
Completing Daily Personal Order Challenges are the best way to farm them as they each give 15 Medals upon completion. Playing missions on Medium difficulty or higher will reward you with Medals and it’s recommended to do short missions like Blitz missions or fighting Terminid Swarms to farm them.
You can also find Medals inside crashed pods or in the two button vaults, but the reward that you get from there is randomized, so chances are slim. Once you’ve acquired your Medals, it’s time to get the Localisation Confusion and dive in for glory.
