As expected, the game contains various types of main quests and side quests. In the Sacred Archives you’ll find one of the longest side quests in the game, known as the Moon Gatherer side quest.

Players can complete The Moon Gatherer Side Quest by finding four pieces of the Moon and rescuing the Moon Gatherer in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. This quest can be encountered after defeating Jahandar and heading towards the Sacred Archives.
In the room with the moving staircase and the Wak-Wak tree, you’ll find another room with stairs below along with a long hallway with a floating moon icon. Follow that path to reach an old area with debris that you can destroy to reach another room. Here, the Moon Gatherer will be found behind a barricade.
Speak with him to start the quest, which will task you with finding four pieces of the stolen Moon. You’ll receive the Dragon King Amulet for accepting this quest.
I. Location of the First Moon Piece
The first piece of the Moon is located in The Depths, filled with sludge that you need to avoid. To find this room, start from either the Scrapper’s Hideout fast travel point, Scrapper, the Xerxes’ vendor’s room, or from the nearby Wak-Wak tree.
Head to the room below and follow the pathways to the right and then down to find the large room marked by two gears and some liquid. From there, make your way through the path to the upper left side and drop down.
Drop down to the room, then make your way towards the right to reach a dead end. To avoid the sludge in the room, you need to combine your dash abilities with the poles and the Shadow of Simurgh to make a clone to pull two switches on the side of the room.
With the sludge gone, navigate down to the corner and interact with the door to free the Moon Gatherer.
II. Location of the Second Moon Piece
The second piece of Moon is located in The Sunken Harbor which can be travelled to from the Pirate Village fast travel point or the nearby Wak-Wak tree. Once you’re there, head left into the vertical room then towards the bottom right path to end up in another large vertical room. From the middle of the room, head down the path towards the right.
This will take you to a room with hanging platforms, from which you have to head upwards and take the first pathway to the right to reach another room. Head down to a small room with a Wak-Wak tree and then drop into another room with debris.
On the bow of a broken ship will be present the Moon Gatherer. Before you can rescue him, you need to defeat two small crabs and one giant crab. Once they’re defeated, interact with the ship’s bow to free the Moon Gatherer and proceed to the next location.
III. Location of the Third Moon Piece
The Pit of Eternal Spirits is where you’ll find the third piece of the Moon. It’s worth noting that you can only reach this area after completing the main quest, The Path to the Sand Prison. Once you’re there, head to the left side of the room then take the path in the bottom left corner downwards.
You’ll drop into an area marked by massive buildings and hills. Head down to the middle, then continue towards another path that leads down.
Hear the Moon Gatherer’s voice before you proceed to the next room. Break the wall on the left and head upwards to encounter a large set of pots. Break them to free the Moon Gatherer.
IV. Location of the Fourth Moon Piece
The final piece of the Moon is located in the Tower of Silence. You can reach there by starting at the same Wak-Wak tree, taking the path to the right, and coming back around to where the bridge is. However, if you have the Tomb Entrance fast-travel unlocked, make your way from there into the room marked with two falling rocks.
When it comes to the gravekeeper there, either ignore or kill them and then make your way downwards through the slopes. You’ll encounter two more gravekeepers after reaching down. You’ll be required to kill the gravekeeper on the bridge.
Defeat the gravekeeper to free the Moon Gatherer from the grave on its back. Before the quest ends, you’ll need to interact one last time with him.
You’ll receive an increase to the maximum number of potions you can carry as the quest reward.
