How to get the What Dreams May Come quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
Players need to upgrade the Ravensthorpe settlement to level 4 and complete the ‘A Wise Friend’ mission to get the ‘What Dreams May Come’ quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Players who’ve completed the main story should already have their Ravensthorpe settlement on level 4. But beginners will have to spend some hours completing missions and collecting the raw material to reach the desired level for their settlement.
After completing the requirements, players can now begin the quest to explore the Cave of Gold.
A Complete Walkthrough of ‘What Dreams May Come’ Quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
In this quest, players will be given the task of opening and exploring the Cave of Gold at the Isle of Syke. The entrance to the cave will be marked on the map, so you shouldn’t have any issues finding the area. Enter the tunnel, walk till you reach a room and interact with the pedestal there. That’ll light up and open the locked door, allowing players to move ahead.
Move ahead into the tunnel until you find an area that opens up. Then, jump across the other side using tall stalagmites as a cushion. Again, move ahead until you get to a cave brimmed with water.
Over here, dive down to locate an opening underwater. Swim through the route where you’ll find blue jellyfish and use the ledge ahead to climb back to the surface. Keep following the tunnel until you spot a torch and then take the route to the right.
Next, you have to face a series of enemies in a large cave. But, you won’t be alone, as Kassandra will help out during the battle. Once you defeat these monsters, players have to use the light beams to open the door.
I. How to solve the light beam puzzle during the ‘What Dreams May Come’ quest?
To solve the light beam puzzle in Assassin’s Creed, players have to interact with pedestals at different points in the room to line up the beams with the mechanisms near the door.
First, wait for Kassandra to turn on the light beams, then move towards the pedestal at the bottom-left corner of the room. Drag the pedestal to touch the beam, which then is directed to another pedestal near the wooden platform. Jump towards that one and rotate it to line up the ray with the plate situated near the quest marker.
Players don’t need to worry about doing it wrong, as Kassandra will inform them when they hit the right spot. After that, head towards the large door and look right. Here, look at the pedestal on the tall pillar, where there should be another beam running through it. At the end of the ray, there should be another pedestal sitting on a low stone platform nearby.
Next, find a tall moveable crate near that pedestal and push it near the wall closest to the door. Use it to climb a shaded platform, then jump across the gap to the pedestal with the beam.
Rotate it down to the pedestal on the ground below, then fall and rotate the second beam to the plate near the door. That should open up the door to concluding the puzzle. After a brief cutscene between Eivor and Kassandra, grab the artefact to finish the mission.
