For a game that is in an Early Access phase, Baldur’s Gate 3 houses a humongous map. The in-game map is so huge that you’ll need to set several hours aside to fully explore the game. Moreover, the game offers incentives to those who are in the mood to scout the dark world of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Despite packing such rich and diverse elements, it has emerged out of nowhere that Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access can be finished within 7 minutes.

Speedrunner Professor Palmer uploaded a video to their YouTube channel and there you can see the channel beating the role-playing game at 7:00:89.

That, to be honest, is a stupendous record and will be ingrained in the history records of Baldur’s Gate.

For achieving this feat, Palmer bid adieu to the scintillating combat that the game has to offer. This obviously saved a lot of time.

Moreover, dialogues and cutscenes were avoided to finish the game as soon as possible.

“I wrote notes and stuff for hours trying to optimize the path I would take to get everything done. I was able to figure out a way to end the hardest fight in the game before it even started by utilizing a team member’s dead body. I was so proud of that strategy. However, when I reached the end of the game, I immediately realized that the storyline wasn’t resolved or continued, and it clicked that everything was actually optional because none of it is currently tied together. I think the developers did this so that no one felt railroaded in early access. It really cracked me up, though, because my pages of notes and my really awesome strategies and glitches I had prepared immediately became worthless.”

Palmer even added that it took a massive total of 200 attempts to finish the game in such a short span. Proper utilization of the Jump Transition spell was also done to cover very long distances through a single jump.

With Baldur’s Gate 3 arriving after almost two decades, Larian is working hard to make the game as good as possible. Consequently, they also released the first patch of the game which fixes many bugs.
