An Untimely End is a main story quest in Avowed. The objective is to find Runyd also known as The Watcher. He will tell you more about your near-death experience and settle your inquisitive mind. These are important pieces of information which will paint the bigger picture. So, where is Runyd?
How to find The Watcher in Avowed?
Runyd or The Watcher is somewhere in the north of Dawnshore.
The way to The Watcher’s house is a bit tricky. You need to find a secret path or make your own.
Let’s begin!
Start at The Rise party camp. It is in the northeast part of Paradis. This is the closest place you can fast travel to near Dawnshore.
From the campsite, walk over to the other side of the bridge in the north.
Head east and look for a broken bridge.
You need to freeze the bridge to make your way across the body of water. You can either cast a frost spell or toss an Eye of Rymrgand grenade if you have one.
Frost spells can be unlocked using the Chill Blades ability in the wizard skill tree. You can also equip a grimoire of elements. Various merchants sell those in Paradis. If you’re lucky, you might just find one in a treasure chest.
Use the frozen water to leap onto the bridge.
Now, just keep following the path. At some point, the road will diverge. Take the one on the right and proceed until you reach The Watcher’s house.
The Perturbed Patron will be stationed outside the house. Interact with him then head in to meet The Watcher.
