In Final Fantasy 16, Hunts encourage players to explore different regions of Valesthia with Clive to defeat unique and challenging beasts. One such unique beast is the Bomb King, whose location might be difficult for players to find.

The Bomb King is located in The Crock region of Sanbreque in Final Fantasy 16. Travel to The Dragon’s Arey and head southeast to find The Imperial Chase. Follow this path until you come across an old building. Take a left and move forward through the Fallen ruins to find him.

The Bomb King is a B-Rank Notorious Mark, but he does pack a punch. As the name suggests, this boss uses magic to deliver explosive attacks which deal a lot of damage. Make sure to stack up on all your health potions for this one.

1. How to get the Bomb King Hunt in Final Fantasy 16?

The Bomb King’s information will appear on the Hunt Board after beginning the quest “Weird Science.” Pick up this side quest at the Hideaway during the Out of the Shadow quest. Accept the request from Owaine, go to the Hunt Board and talk to Nektar to begin the Hunt.

The Bomb King will appear on the Hunt Board as a B-Rank Hunt. As mentioned above, the Bomb King can be found in Sanbreque, where you need to head to The Imperial Chase and follow down a narrow path to find him.

2. How to defeat the Bomb King in Final Fantasy 16?

The Bomb King uses magic to throw fireballs which is easy to dodge. The Phoenix Strike is useful in this boss fight as it helps you get back to him after gaining some distance. Up close, he lunges at Clive which requires you to catch the timing and sidestep him to counterattack.

The Bomb King’s most powerful attack is the Witan, where he summons more self-destructing Bombs to join the fight which deal massive damage. Your play would be to use powerful AoE attacks and move away from the bombs as soon as the countdown starts for self-destruction.

Make sure that The Bomb King doesn’t use the Witan or Coronation ability more than once per fight. Remember, this boss doesn’t have a stagger meter so plan your attacks strategically to deal maximum damage and avoid incoming attacks.
