Hades 2 has several bosses which will make for some interesting fights. There are bosses in the underworld and bosses on the surface. Charybdis is another such boss. Where to find Charybdis?
Melinoe will encounter Charybdis in the Rift of Thessaly. To unlock it, cast the Permeation of Witching-Wards Incantation. It is in the direction opposite to the Underworld path at the Crossroads. Be prepared to face off against many enemies before you finally reach the vicious sea monster.
How to beat Charybdis?
As soon as you enter the boss room, Charybdis will call five tentacles to deliver smash attacks. It sends out a shockwave from the three sides of the tentacle. The only way to be safe from this attack is to position yourself to the back. This will ensure that you are not hit by the tentacle’s wave. An alternative is to dodge the waves but you have to be quick.
The most efficient way to beat Charybdis is to deal damage to each tentacle. Start with the corner ones first, eliminate one then move on to the next. Since the tentacles are apart from one another, you should be fine as long as you keep moving.
As Charybdis’ health reaches 25-30%, it will recall all tentacles and throw out red orbs. These explosives will further multiply into mini bombs. After dealing with them, you will face more tentacles surfacing. If you spot circles momentarily, make sure to dodge them.
Just as Charybdis is in its final moments, the tentacles will do a 360-degree attack. So keep your distance when the boss is running low on health. After this final phase, you will stand victorious against Charybdis.
Boons against Charybdis
Boons are pretty rare to come across in Hades 2. If you spot any of these, make sure to grab it for an upper hand against Charybdis later.
- Glowing Coal: Form a binding circle by using Cast. It will aim a fiery projectile on the target which will explode on impact.
- Ice Strike: Attacks will deal more damage and inflict Freeze.
- Soot Sprint: Your Sprint will destroy most ranged shots within proximity, and inflict Scorch.
- Total Eclipse: Hex will blast the target area for 1000 damage.
