Along with the above two ways, you can additionally complete Expeditions in order to obtain Flame Cores. The best Expedition to run in order to get the maximum Flame Cores would be the Empyrean Forge expedition. The mobs in this expedition drop Flame Cores as loot.
On top of mobs dropping the valuable Flame Cores as loot after you defeat them, there are a good number of chests in this area which gives you a 50% chance to receive additional Flame Cores.
Where is the Flame Core Forge?
The Flame Core Forge is located right beside the new dungeon, the Empyrean Forge. To get to the Flame Core Forge, fast travel to the Empyrean Shrine.
Once you’re at the Empyrean Forge, look for a big entrance. Walk towards the entrance and turn to the right. You’ll notice the Flame Core Forge there.
