How to Easily Complete Bunny’s ‘Follow Their Traces’ Quest- The First Descendant

The First Descendant has unique questlines for each character. Progressing through these quests gives the players an insight into the background of the character.

Follow Their Traces mission is a part of Bunny’s questline. The focus of the quest is to find the records left by her parents in the Sterile Land’s Restricted Zone. This is a difficult task as it has to be done on the basis of very vague clues that you find.

1. How to complete the Follow Their Traces mission?

This is how to complete the Follow Their Traces mission-

1. Progress main quests to unlock the Sterile Land region.
2. Complete the purple-marked quests to unlock the Repository region.
3. Complete the purple-marked quests in the Repository to unlock the Restricted Zone area of the Sterile Land.
4. Go to the bottom left edge of the map in the Restricted Zone.
5. Head to the spot under the southernmost blue mark on the map above; there are cliffs in that area. At that point, there will be a journal with a ‘Check Records‘ option.
6. Check the Records, and the information will be added to the Descendant Record Section of the Journal Tab.
7. Open and play the record named- “Emergency Communications Records – Agent Cayden Voltia”.
8. Talk to Alpha and Nell in Albion to unlock the ‘The Traces Continue‘ mission.

The clues available to the player are the records left by Bunny’s parents and can be found near the cliffs. Also, there is a high-powered jammer located nearby.

The latter is the main clue, as it helps in easier navigation. You can open the world map and look for the High-powered Jammer mission in the Restricted Zone.

2. Get to the Mission Location

You can obtain the record without completing the High-powered Jammer mission (although you should get it done as it takes just a few minutes). Follow the map shown above, under the southernmost blue mark. You will have to head southward from the Jammer mission to get on that cliff.

The journal is not very noticeable, so go to the very edge of the cliff to find it and add it to your Journal Tab. Open and play the record to listen to: “Emergency Communications Records – Agent Cayden Voltia”.

After going through the record, head back to Albion. At the HQ, you will find Alpha and Nell standing next to each other. Interact with both of them.

This will open up the next phase of the quest, which is; The Traces Continue. In case it doesn’t directly open- You need to unlock the Vespers location. Then, reach the mission area- Ruins.
