The First Descendant has many materials to farm, which are crucial for character development. These materials can sometimes be difficult to farm, and Void Fragments are one of them. 

Void Fragments are a special type of mission or activity with obelisk-looking structures. These are marked black on some maps and found all over Ingris. The objective is to chip them away, but sometimes, they can be immune, confusing many players. 

1. How to Destroy Void Fragments in The First Descendant?

Void Fragments in the First Descendant can be destroyed by using the Descendant’s ability to match the elements of the Void Fragments. It is because they are always immune to all weapon damage.

Enemies will appear once a Void Fragment is damaged, and the Fragment will be immune. To break its shield, you must defeat the Vulgus that spawn nearby. Once the Fragment’s shield is down, you can start damaging it again. Repeat this process until the Void Fragment is destroyed.

If your Descendant lacks the appropriate elemental damage type, you will not be able to break the Void Fragment. Nevertheless, more fragments can be located in different regions of Ingris, so you will find one that aligns with your Descendant’s attribute.

3. What are the Rewards for Destroying Void Fragments?

Players are rewarded with various types of Void Shards upon destroying a Void Fragment. There are four types of shards that can be obtained from the Void Fragments- 

• Inorganic Void Shard
• Organic Void Shard
• Monomer Void Shard
• Polymer Void Shard

These shards trigger Void Fusion reactors and cause a pool of enemies to appear. After defeating them, the shards will be consumed, and players will be rewarded with Gold, XP, modules, gear, and Amorphous Materials.
