How to defeat Gore-Eye Daoist and obtain his spirit? Black Myth: Wukong Guide

In Black Myth: Wukong, you can use Transformations to turn into another character for a brief period of time. it could be a fierce animal or a boss you have already defeated. This skill allows you to use their abilities and extend your life. In a battle, when you are on the verge of giving up, Transformations can be a helping hand.

The Gore-Eye Daoist is one such Transformation. You can unlock it by defeating the Gore-Eye Daoist boss. His unique power “Raging Blood” increases the damage inflicted as long as you stay within a certain radius. 

Find Gore-Eye Daoist Location 

Gore-Eye Daoist is an optional boss in Chapter 2. You can find him near Yellow Wind or the Windseal Gate shrine.

Before facing Gore-Eye Daoist, you must defeat Tiger Vanguard and Stone Vanguard. Upon doing so, you will receive the Keenness of Tiger and Stone key items. Go back to the arena where you fought the Second Prince of Flowing Sands. Place the newly obtained items on either side of the door.

This will open up a secret area where you will battle the Gore-Eye Daoist.

How to defeat Gore-Eye Daoist? 

Beating the Gore-Eye Daoist can be tricky. However, using spells like Immobilize and A Pluck of Many will do you wonders. Remember to take Antimiasma Powder before the fight.

The boss mostly uses melee attacks. These can be easily dodged or countered. 

However, there is one essential move you need to steer clear of. You will notice a large bulbous tumor hanging from his back. The Gore-Eye Daoist will spit out a poisonous red liquid. Do not come in contact with it or else it will decrease your health and slow you down.

Any glowing areas should also be avoided. The boss will also shoot shards of blood at a quick speed. 

Attack aggressively using light combos in the initial stages of the fight. When you feel it’s right, cast spells to inflict more damage. 

The Gore-Eye Daoist will sometimes hit his staff on the ground to release a shock wave. This is a special move with the ability to hinder your health. 

Once you defeat the Gore-Eye Daoist, you will unlock its spirit.
