Valheim, the recently popular game inspired by the Norse Mythology, is set up in a vast fantasy world and is all about exploring, crafting, and surviving. With tons of features and equipment to craft, it becomes challenging to keep track of it all. Many of these crafts and non-essential-looking tools can actually help you a lot in the long run, and one such craft is the Hot Tub.
The latest Hearth and Home update of Valheim has brought the Hot tub to the game along with many new and different tools and furniture. Resting in the Hot tub increases the overall comfort level of your home, your health, and stamina regeneration. It also increases the length of your resting buff.
What Resources Are Needed To Craft A Hot Tub In Valheim?
To Craft a Hot Tub, you will need the following resources:
- 20 Wood
- 8 Stone
- 10 Iron
- 6 Tar
The woods and the stones are quite the standard items. You can get the woods from trees all around you, and the stones are also available in abundance; you will just need a pickaxe to mine it.
For Iron, you need to find it in the Swamp Crypts. You need to defeat the elder to unlock this area. The Iron can be obtained by taking the dirty piles found in the Swamp Crypt to your forge and breaking it down.
Now, tar is a rather tricky resource to acquire. It can be found and obtained from the Tarpits located in the Plains Biome or from the Growths. Growths are the new enemies which spawn near Tarpits and drop tar when you kill them. Be careful while approaching them as they attack with poisonous projectiles, which can also slow you down.
How To Craft And Set-up The Hot Tub?
Once you collect all the required items, the Hot Tub will be available for crafting. Within the range of your workbench go to your furniture tab in the build menu and select the Hot Tub.
You can place the Tub anywhere you like but make sure that its back is not blocked by any object because there is a furnace at the back of the Hot Tub. It uses wood as its fuel, and you need enough space to go behind the tub and throw in more woods to refuel it.
One thing which all players should remember is to treat the Hot Tub just like a fire pit. As the wood burns, it produces a lot of smoke, which makes it necessary to keep the tub in an open area or under a vent. If not vented properly the smoke can harm you and your home.
How To Defeat The Growths?
Growths are slimy enemies generally seen near tarpits. They attack a player with projectiles and strike a debuff status called tarred. As discussed earlier, their attacks are poisonous and can slow you down, so it is better not to get too close to them and approach them from afar with ranged weapons.
The most efficient way to deal with them is to use bows and fire arrows. Also, as they use projectile attacks, you can easily avoid their attacks if you keep moving while engaging with them and get out of it unharmed.
Besides the steamy new Hot Tub, the highly-anticipated Hearth and Home Update brings a plethora of new stuff to our beloved Valheim. From the brand-new weapons to cool decorations, it just became much more compelling to explore this exciting afterlife world.
