Diablo 4 has a variety of fun quests and side quests for players to complete, like the Fury Against Fate Quest. This quest is part of a questline and it’s preceded by the quests Consumed by Pride and Raising Spears.
You won’t be able to begin this quest unless you’ve finished the previous two quests, so make sure you complete those before. The side quest revolves around helping the Crane Tribe defeat cannibals, but to complete it, you’ll need to do certain things.
To complete the Fury Against Fate Quest in Diablo 4:
- Speak with Ealda at the Crane Tribe Hutmoot,
- Join Ealda at Wasting Hollow,
- Destroy the Gore-Soaked Barricade and clear the Cannibal Feeding Ground, and
- Survive the ambush.
Doing so will successfully complete the quest. It’s worth noting that you might not be able to complete this quest due to a bug, but more on that later. For now, let’s dive into the details of each of the above-mentioned steps.
1. Speak with Ealda at the Crane Tribe Hutmoot
To begin the quest, simply go to the Crane Tribe Hutmoot, meet Ealda, and talk to her.
She’ll tell you where you need to go next to continue the quest. The Crane Tribe Hutmoot is located in the northern part of the Untamed Scarps area. She’ll despawn out of the area after a short cutscene.
2. Join Ealda at Wasting Hollow
After talking to Ealda at the Crane Tribe Hutmoot, head to the Wasting Hollow dungeon and meet up with her.
The dungeon is located within the Untamed Scarps area to the southeast. Meet Ealda inside the dungeon and speak to her to proceed.
3. Destroy the Gore-Soaked Barricade and clear the Cannibal Feeding Ground
After meeting with Ealda inside the dungeon, head towards the Gore-Soaked Barricade and destroy it. Behind this barricade will be the Feeding Ground.
Defeat all the enemies in this area to proceed. After defeating every enemy and clearing the feeding ground successfully, speak to Ealda and let her know that the coast’s “All clear”.
4. Survive the ambush
After speaking to Ealda, you’ll be ambushed by hordes of cannibals, which you’ll have to defeat. There’ll be three waves, and each of the waves will get more aggressive.
The first wave will be made up of just basic enemies. The second wave will consist of Elites, and at the end of the ambush, you’ll have to defeat Korvok the Carver.
Defeat him, and you’ll successfully complete the quest and receive a Gem Cache as the completion reward. Now, with that out of the way, let’s get into the bug that might stop you from progressing through this quest.
5. What is the Gore-Soaked Barricade bug in Diablo 4?
The Gore-Soaked Barricade bug occurs in Diablo 4 when the barricade leading to the Feeding Ground can’t be broken and seems to have infinite health.
This prevents players from further progressing through the quest. The quest was previously bugged with a glitch where Ealda and her companions wouldn’t follow the player after defeating the cannibals. But now it seems like a new bug is in town to steal all the glory.
6. How to fix the Gore-Soaked Barricade bug in Diablo 4?
Here are some fixes for the bug that might work:
- On PC, set the game to windowed mode, set the maximum background FPS to 1, log out of the game, log back in, go into the cave, and alt-tab after starting the conversation with Ealda. Tab back in and proceed.
- Complete the Flayer’s Outpost event before entering the dungeon, log out, and log back in.
- On PS5, switch to WiFi and start a download, then try to break it.
Remember that all these fixes are player-suggested, and they have a very high chance of not working, but it’s worth giving them a shot, nonetheless. If none of the above works, then I suggest waiting for an official update from Blizzard that resolves this issue.
