You need to press the “Start Tracking” button on the Crush quest available in the quest menu to receive the first objective. Tracking the mission will put a marker on the search area for the quest.

2. Finding the Search Area

To get to the search area, fast-travel to the Weaver’s Flourish N’avi camp, located to the east of the Aranhae Clan’s Hometree.

Follow the light blue marker to reach a small island. This will display the text “Inside Search Area” or “Inside Quest Area” at the top of the screen to let you know that you’re in the right place. Now you’ll need to start looking for clues. 

3. Investigating the Island for Clues

You’ll be able to find a large fallen tree log inside the search area. Head over there to start looking for clues as the tree was the last known location of the human that Nawuk spotted.

• Box of Resistance Rations

Since you’re already at the fallen tree, look beneath it to find your first clue which is a box of Resistance Rations. Start the investigation by inspecting the box using your N’avi senses.

Interact with the box to collect it as a clue while getting more information about it. Don’t forget to pick up the supply boxes under the tree as well.

• Aircraft Skid Marks

The aircraft skid marks will be located towards the water. From the fallen tree or the first clue, turn around and make your way towards the water to find the second clue. It’s possible to get this clue before the box of Resistance Rations.

Use your N’avi senses to highlight the skid marks on a muddy area and collect them. A button prompt will appear asking you to link the rations and the skid marks. Press the button to link both of these clues.

• Broken Wasp Hive

• Wide Footprints

The wide footprints will be located next to the broken wasp hive and the tree branch, implying that the wasps caused the human to run away. Follow the footprints to reach the next and final clue.

• Cracked Tablet

Follow the footsteps to come across the final clue, which is a cracked tablet. Link the footsteps with the tablet to reveal the events that have transpired leading to the clues.

You’ll be able to deduce that a human from the Resistance landed their aircraft along with the rations and ended up breaking a tree branch. This released a hive of wasps, causing the human to run towards the water and drop their tablet in the process. Now, you need to hack the tablet with the SID.

4. Hack the Tablet with the SID Tool

To hack the Tablet with the SID, align the white circle correctly with the green circle by clicking the button on your mouse or holding down the trigger on your controller. This will take you to a hacking mini-game where you have to take the icon to the key symbol and then to the end of the maze.

Hacking the tablet will recover audio from it, which will play the confession of a crush from the owner of the tablet. Your next, objective will be to return to Resistance HQ and talk to Alex.

5. Find the Tablet’s Owner at the Resistance HQ

At the Resistance HQ, Alex will be located upstairs in the research area. Use your N’avi sense to find him. Talk with Alex in hopes of getting the tablet fixed. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to fix the tablet, but he’ll give you a clue that the person who owns the tablet is someone “bold and strong”.

Next, head to the central hub area of the HQ near the weapons trader where you’ll find Anqa Salaam,the owner of the tablet. She will appear highlighted through your N’avi senses. Talk to Anqa there until she takes you to a concealed area where she’ll admit that it was her tablet and she’s the one who recorded the confession. This will wrap up the Crush side quest.

You’ll receive 10 Spare Parts, one Clan Favor and nine Stagger rounds for your assault rifle after completing the quest.
