There are a lot of boss fights in Black Myth Wukong throughout multiple chapters. While some might be easy for you, others can be hard and frustrating. Well, if you haven’t completed chapter 3, then you are in for some serious fight that will make you sweat. Yes, I am serious.
Yellowbrow is the final boss at the end of chapter 3, found in the New Thunderclap Temple. The fight is very long and not that straightforward for players. If you are trying to take on the fake Buddha, then you need a good strategy and understanding of the enemy.
1. How to beat Yellowbrow in Black Myth Wukong?
Players must clear all three phases of the Yellowbrow boss to beat him in Black Myth Wukong. His attacks are slow, so you can stay close to him and deal damage. Use heavy attacks to break his golden form in phase 3.
In the first and third phases, players will battle Yellowbrow directly, while in the second phase, they will battle Macaque Chief. This battle has checkpoints, so you don’t have to start all over when you die.
2. Strategy against Yellowbrow
Before the fight, ensure you have unlocked some good skills from the skill tree. If not, you can check out our skill tree guides. Additionally, increase your shock resistance as Yellowbrow deals Lightning magic attacks. Don’t forget to bring some medicines with you.
2.1 Phase 1- Yellowbrow
This is your first encounter with Yellowbrow, and he is fairly easy to deal with. His attacks are sluggish and can be easily avoided. Additionally, he takes long pauses between his moves. So, don’t be afraid to go all out.
Use all of your mana and spells. Start by using Pluck of Many and then Immobilize, followed by some quick combos and the Wandering Wight spirit transformation. This combo deals insane damage.
Later, focus on dodging and attacking when there is any opening. After his health is almost depleted, you will be teleported into another arena.
2.2 Phase 2- Stronger Macaque Chief
After being teleported, you’ll face the Macaque chief. However, this is a stronger and more aggressive version of the boss.
The good thing is that your mama and healing charges are fully replenished. We will use the same strategy against the Yellowbrow Phase 1 for the battle. Avoid his combos and attack when there’s an opening.
2.3 Phase 3- Golden Yellowbrow
This is a much stronger version of Yellowbrow, which you previously battled. Now, he has many attacks, and defeating him won’t be easy. Additionally, the battle has three parts, each pausing with a cutscene.
I. Part 1: Health < 30%
- Yellowbrow’s golden form makes him invulnerable to attacks, causing your staff to bounce off him and increase his size. Combos also won’t work against him.
- To counter this, use two running heavy attacks to stagger and force him back to normal.
- If he traps you in an electric circle on the floor, jump out to avoid the damage.
II. Part 2: Health < 50%
- Retreat to the arena’s edge when he charges lightning above his head.
- Dodge ranged electric projectiles.
- Land some quick-attack combos until the cutscene.
III. Part 3: Final part
- Yellowbrow will use extended electrical combos that deal with AoE damage.
- Try to dodge them perfectly and heal if damaged. Don’t take a lot of hits, as they will be lethal.
- Attack during his brief pauses.
- Avoid electric lines on the floor.

With the defeat of Yellowbrow, Chapter 3 comes to an end. You will also receive the following items and rewards:
