- Rock, Ground, and Dragon-type moves because Mega Charizard X is weak against these types of attacks.
- Plenty of Healing Potions and Revives as emergency backup.
During the gym raid, make sure to dodge the enemies quickly and their charged attack by swiping left or right on the screen. Try to spam quick attacks on the gym boss by tapping your phone screen, so you can unleash your charged attack as fast as possible.
The charged attack will do a super effective damage massively draining the boss’ health if the attack is one of the rock, ground, and dragon-type moves.
Note: Mega Charizard X is resistant to Grass, Bug, Steel, Fire, and Electric-type moves, so make sure not to use any related Pokemons or you will be wiped out instantly in the raid.

Mega Rayquaza, Primal Groudon, Mega Garchomp, and Mega Diancie are the best Pokemons to beat Mega Charizard X in Pokemon GO because they majorly use a perfect combo of rock, ground, and dragon-type attack moves to severely damage Mega Charizard X.
If you do not have any of these pokemons, you can still use any pokemon of your choice in the Gym raid as long as their move sets counter that of the raid boss.
3. How to get Mega Charizard X in Pokemon GO?
To get Mega Charizard X in Pokemon GO, players must collect 200 Charizard Mega Energy. The Charizard mega energy can be acquired by completing specific missions, spinning owned Gym discs, and defeating a Mega Charizard X boss in Gym raids.
Once you collect all the required Mega Charizard Energy for the evolution, just select the Charizard you want to evolve and tap the Mega Evolve button.
Remember the Mega Evolutions are not permanent and lasts only for specific periods of time.
