Since its release in 2022, Spy x Family has captivated the world not only because of its interesting spy split but also because of lovable characters like Anya and her antics.
We are all aware of Operation Stix, and to get one step closer to it, Anya must become an Imperial scholar and shine, and to achieve that title, she must earn it.
Anya has 2 Stella Stars and 2 Tonitrus Bolts as of September 2023. She still has a long way to go, but at least she is at the top of her class in this regard, even with the bolts, an ‘all-rounder’ indeed.

1. How many Stella Stars does Anya have as of September 2023?
Anya has 2 Stella stars as of September 2023, these are like merits awarded to students, which are essential for achieving the status of an Imperial Scholar.
To attain this prestigious title, students must accumulate a total of 8 Stella stars.
A student at Eden Academy can get Stella Stars for
- scoring outstanding grades,
- participating in long-term community work,
- showing exceptional talent in extracurricular activities and/or
- achieving heroic feats like helping the police or saving a life.
Wouldn’t it be exciting if we had such a merit system as well?
I. Anya’s first Stella Star
Anya’s 1st Stella Star was awarded in chapter 16 of the manga or episode 11 of the anime, where she saved Ken’s life.
No other student at Eden Academy has ever saved anyone’s life – at least from what we’ve seen so far. This was the perfect way for Anya to shine, just like the star she is.
Loud had taken her to a hospital to help with some volunteering in hopes of achieving a Stella Star.
However, she failed at the simple tasks assigned to her, like cleaning or assisting the doctors. Instead of those, she read a manga and broke 2 flowerpots.
While leaving, Anya heard the cries for help from Ken telepathically, a kid with crutches who was recovering at the hospital, he had fallen into the rehabilitation pool while checking the temperature of the water.
She jumped right in to save him even though she couldn’t swim herself. Loud saved them just in time, and that’s how Anya earned her 1st Stella Star.
II. Anya’s Second Stella Star
Anya’s 2nd Stella Star was earned in chapter 75 of the manga along with Becky Blackbell, Damian Desmond, and Bill Watkins for averting the hijacking crisis.
The Red Circus members had hijacked 2 Eden Academy buses on the way to the Berlint Museum for a trip.
Billy Squire was the former leader, and he threatened everyone on the bus with a shotgun and about exploding a bomb, even though there wasn’t even the bomb in the first place.
However, Anya, being our bright protagonist, persuades Billy and reminds him of his daughter whom he had lost.
He gets soft after hearing about her selfless goal of making the world a better place where kids don’t cry.
This stems from her childhood trauma, as she really knew what it felt like to be neglected and tortured.
Billy’s daughter was also like Anya, and he couldn’t shoot the trigger to make someone feel the loss of their child, so he fled but was later arrested by the police.
This is how Anya earned her 2nd Stella Star by courageously saving her classmates and using her charm to change people.
2. How many Tonitrus Bolts does Anya have as of September 2023?
Anya has 2 Tonitrus Bolts as of September 2023. These are like demerits; if students earn 8, they will be immediately expelled from Eden Academy.
A student at Eden Academy can get Tonitrus Bolts for
- Having poor academic performance
- Misconduct of behavior, like Physical Assualt, disobedience, etc
I. Anya’s first Tonitrus Bolt
Anya earned her 1st Tonitrus Bolt in chapter 8 of the manga or episode 6 of the anime, where she punched Damian Desmond in the face and that was a hilarious scene.
It was on her first day of school at the Eden Academy and happened because of many misunderstandings between Anya and Desmond.
Especially because of Daminan’s haughty attitude along with his friends teasing her. It was further aggravated by Anya’s iconic smug.
Anya had punched him right in the face, and Henry Henderson gave her the 2nd Tonitrus Bolt.
II. Anya’s Second Tonitrus Bolt
Anya got her 2nd Tonitrus Bolt in chapter 61 of the manga, where she shared her handkerchief with Damian to avoid him from getting a bolt from Donna Schlag.
Donna Schlag, aka “Old Lady Tonitrus,” had come for inspecting, but she is that strict sort of teacher who brings thunder and gloom with her. Bet we all have one of these at our schools.
She has this hilarious pose when she grants a bolt to someone, she even named it the “Tonitrus Strike.” I can’t wait to see that animated.
Anya notices that Donna punished a student with a Tonitrus for not bringing a handkerchief, and since Damian didn’t have one, she didn’t want him to earn a bolt as it could jeopardize “Operation Strix.”
She passed on hers to Damian, assuming she had a spare, but to her horror, she didn’t, and that is how she earned her 2nd Tintrus Bolt.
You might be thinking that she has 2 bolts and 2 stars, which could cancel each other out. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way, she is stuck with her bolts unless a high-ranking faculty member revokes it.
