How long does it take to complete Uncharted 4? Main Story and 100% Completion Time 

If you’re new to Uncharted: A Thief’s End, then you might be wondering how long does it take to beat the game. Even though Uncharted 4 is a completely linear game with only main missions and no side missions, it can still be a long game depending on how you want to approach the game. 

Some players might even call the game too long. The game also got a PS5 and PC remaster very recently so you might be one of the players finally getting to try the game after all this time. According to HowLongToBeat.com , it takes around 15 hours to complete the main story of Uncharted 4 and a completionist run (100% completion) should take around 30 hours. Playing the game on a harder difficulty could also affect your playtime significantly. 

1. Difficulty 

There are a total of 5 difficulty modes in Uncharted: A Thief’s End. They are as follows:  

• Explorer 
• Light 
• Moderate 
• Hard 
• Crushing 

Explorer is the easiest difficulty while Crushing is the hardest. Also it’s worth noting that like previous Naughty Dog games before Uncharted 4, this game also has separate trophies for each difficulty. 

2. Does Uncharted 4 have multiple endings? 

Uncharted 4 doesn’t have multiple endings. It has only one ending which serves as the definitive ending to Nathan Drake’s story as of now. Even though the game has dialogue options at certain parts, they all lead to the same ending regardless of the option you choose. 

The playable epilogue places you into the shoes of Cassie Drake, the daughter of Nathan and Elena. The ending shows an older and settled down Nathan and Elena hiding their treasure hunting past from their daughter but they realize that it’s time to let Cassie know about it. The game ends with Nathan explaining their story to Cassie with Elena. 

3. Is Uncharted 4 hard? 

Uncharted 4 can be brutal, but only if you want it to be. If you play the game at Crushing difficulty on your first playthrough, no matter how familiar with the franchise and its mechanics, the game will be very challenging regardless.  

It is always advised to start a game at a balanced difficulty on the first playthrough and then increase it when the game is replayed. If you’re confident about completing the game on Crushing difficulty on your first playthrough, go for it. 

4. Will there be an Uncharted 5? 

Naughty Dog doesn’t seem to be against the idea of a potential Uncharted 5 but they haven’t said anything regarding it. We don’t know for sure whether an Uncharted 5 will continue Nathan’s story or if it will take the franchise in a completely new direction.  

There have been multiple rumors regarding Uncharted 5, the most recent being Naughty Dog outsourcing another studio to make the game. Everything is speculation at this point, but if an Uncharted 5 is in development, don’t expect it anytime soon.

7. About Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a 2016 action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the fourth main entry in the Uncharted series. Set several years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, players control Nathan Drake, a former treasure hunter coaxed out of retirement by his presumed-dead brother Samuel. With Nathan’s longtime partner, Victor Sullivan, they search for clues for the location of Henry Avery’s long-lost treasure.

A Thief’s End is played from a third-person perspective, and incorporates platformer elements. Players solve puzzles and use firearms, melee combat, and stealth to combat enemies. In the online multiplayer mode, up to ten players engage in co-operative and competitive modes.
