Are you a gamer who likes adventure and solving mysteries? If so, the new game Nobody Wants to Die might interest you. Set in New York in 2329, the game combines cyberpunk-like dystopias with Film Noir-style mystery.
Players take on the role of James Karra, a baseball star whose consciousness is transferred to a new body after his death. James uncovers a web of intrigue and danger as a detective seeking justice in a corrupt city.
1. How long does it take to beat Nobody Wants to Die?
It takes 6 hours to finish the main story and side missions in Nobody Wants to Die. If players focus only on the main story, it should take 4-5 hours. However, if one prefers to take their time and explore the game thoroughly, it might take up to 9 hours to complete.
It won’t take more than 10 hours because the gameplay is very limited, like a point-and-click adventure game. Initially, it might look like players need to uncover mysteries using their deductions.
However, the game’s progress is tightly scripted, as players can’t really fail any missions. The only key point is players need to make choices that will impact the game’s ending.
2. Does Nobody Wants to Die have multiple endings?
Nobody Wants to Die has 4 alternate endings, highly dependent on choices made throughout the game. So, players have to make their choices wisely.
2.1 Ending 1 – Bad Ending
The worst possible ending happens when the murderer gets away with the body, and James is killed.
To get this ending, one must make bad choices, such as not shooting when prompted by Icarus, not closing the door to the Red Room, blaming the murderer when asked about the culprit, and not shooting Jane Selma.
2.2 Ending 2 – Slightly Less Bad Ending
The second ending is similar to the first one, with the only difference being that the murderer doesn’t seem to get away with the body.
To reach this ending, follow the same options as the first, but choose to shoot Jane Selma at the end. The rest of the sequence remains the same.
2.3 Ending 3 – Hopeful but Gloomy Ending
To get this ending, choose the good options for the first time, including shooting when prompted by Icarus, closing the Redroom door, asking about “Green” instead of the Murderer, and shooting Jane Selma.
2.4 Ending 4 – Good Ending
In this ending, most of the steps are the same as the previous one until the final encounter with Jane Selma. Rather than shooting Jane, James decides to toss away the weapon to bring about this ending.
