The latest episode of Solo Leveling Season 2 ended, leaving fans in a nervous wreck. This was because although Jinwoo managed to defeat the Ant King, Cha Hae-In’s life was still hanging by a thread, and none of Jinwoo’s handy first aid techniques were working on her. They wouldn’t make it if they took her to a hospital, and Jinwoo didn’t have any shadow soldiers to exchange with, making it a really sticky situation.
Well, Cha Hae-In still survives, though, and we’ll explain exactly how Jinwoo saves her as per the happenings of the Manhwa. If you missed out on the previous episode, we’ll also go through how she got injured during the fourth Jeju Island Raid. Kindly proceed cautiously, as we will be including spoilers from the Solo Leveling Manhwa.
What Happened To Cha Hae-In?

During the 4th Jeju Island raid, the Korean group of S rank hunters successfully managed to defeat the Ant Queen, and the S rank hunter Cha Hae-In played a major role in her extermination. Luckily, she managed to defeat it without sustaining a single injury. However, things got complicated after the Ant King hatched and made its way to the Queen’s lair, only to find her dead.

The Ant King didn’t take more than a few seconds to mourn the Queen’s death and seized the opening during which Cha Hae-In was overwhelmed by his aura to strike her. His one attack ruptured her insides and sent her flying away. After this, he killed the S-rank healer Min Byung-Gyu and gravely injured every other S-rank hunter in the area, and then left the place to find a stronger human.
How Does Jinwoo Save Cha Hae-In?

Jinwoo’s timely arrival in the Ant Queen’s lair saved the hunter from being ant food. While his shadow soldiers kept the ants busy, he used his healing potions on all the hunters who were alive, and they recovered instantly. However, when he used the same potion on Cha Hae-In, it didn’t work as she was too injured. After defeating the Ant King, he tried again with the Elixir of Life, but it still didn’t work as her injuries were too grave.

Since all other doors were closed, Jinwoo had no choice but to revive Min Byung-Gyu using his powers. He failed twice but successfully managed to extract Min Byung-Gyu’s shadow. Right after extraction, Min Byung-Gyu healed Cha Hae-In and saved her life. Baek Yoonho protested against this, as he wanted his friend to rest in peace, but Cha Hae-In’s death would be far too huge of a loss for Japan, so Jinwoo made the right call. Promptly after Hunter Cha Hae-In was healed, Jinwoo dispelled his technique so that Byung-Gyu could rest in peace.
Who Died During The Jeju Island Raid?
The Ant King’s wrath was harsh. While it may have been justified for the Ant King to take human lives in retribution for their Queen’s life, it doesn’t change the fact that he took the lives of several S-rank hunters, and that was a huge toll for the human side. The Ant King murdered 8 hunters, 7 of which were S-rank hunters from Japan, and one was Hunter Min Byung-Gyu from Korea.
The Japanese S rank hunters were Mari Ishida, Ippei Ishida, Kei, Akari Shimizu, Kenzo Takana, Tatsumi Fujishima, and Goto Ryuji. Goto Ryuji was the strongest hunter in Japan, and his loss was heavy. His fight against the Ant King was barely shown, and the only acknowledgment of his death shown in the anime was the Ant King’s reappearance in the Queen’s lair.
