Jujutsu Kaisen gets more and more interesting as it approaches the finale. Many twists that fans expected, and some that no one did, happened in recent chapters.
The most shocking of which is the return of Shoko Ieri. Everyone thought Yuta sacrificed himself for 5 minutes of fame, so how did this happen? Let us take a look.
How did Yuta Get Back His Body After the Gojo Swap?
Yuta will regain access to his body, according to the spoilers. This will be done by using the Reverse Curse Technique of Rika. In the nick of time, Rika could preserve Yuta’s original body while Yuta switched to Gojo’s body. The leaks also illustrate Megumi Fushiguro.
Yuta is one of the most heroic exorcists out there; for the greater good of humanity, he did his best without expecting anything. For the sake of his comrades, he was willing to sacrifice his life and enter Gojo’s body.
Yuta’s Copy ability works weirdly, as shown in the battle with Sukuna. As the battle ended and the series was getting rounded up, the fans were thinking- Is Yuta getting his body back?
After the return of many characters like Shoko Ieri, Megumi Fushiguro, and even Higurama- fans have started to see a trend and had predicted the rise of Yuta again. And they were right.
According to the spoilers, Yuta was still under the effect of the Limitless Void technique of Gojo Satoru and seemed a little out of it.
The scene shows Maki-san reprimanding Yuta and Yuta repeatedly apologizing. Maki later tells Yuta that it is not his fault and sighs.
How Yuuta Took Over Gojo:
When Yuuta took over Gojo’s body earlier in the Shinjuku Showdown arc, everyone was shocked and confused about whether they should be happy. However, here we’re focusing on how Yuuta managed to take over Gojo’s body. Yuuta copied Kengaku’s ability to swap brains out to take over people’s bodies.
Yuuta used Kenjaku’s technique on Gojo’s body (the pieces of which were sutured by Shouko) and used the reverse cursed technique in full blast, reviving the body.
One obvious difference is the suture on his forehead, which is exactly like Kenjaku’s scar. One major difference is how the technique was executed in Yuuta’s and Kenjaku’s case. Kenjaku performs this as his technique, however Yuuta can only use it with the help of the fully manifested Rika.
How Did Yuuta Get Trapped in Gojo’s Body?
The biggest flaw in Yuuta’s plan was that he could only use a copied technique so long as Rika was fully manifested. As it stands, Rika can only fully manifest for a maximum of five minutes. So then, what would happen to Yuuta after these five minutes?
After five minutes of Rika’s complete manifestation, there’s one out of two possibilities: Yuuta would die due to the invalidity of the cursed technique, or he would be forever trapped within Gojo’s body. We can assume the former isn’t the case based on Itadori’s words in the latest chapter. He said they had to save Yuuta: this means he is still alive and trapped within Gojo’s body.
One thing to note is that no spoilers/ raw scans on chapter 269 have been released up till the writing of this blog, and hence, there is no way to confirm these speculations.
