In 2006, Joon Hee left Go Yoo and disappeared without notice. Go Yoo goes to his house looking for him but finds it empty. Go Yoo finds Joon Hoo’s grandma’s necklace and a note mentioning he went on a trip.

In the present day, So Yeon reveals that it was Joon Hee who urged her to go to Go Yoo. After all these years, she finally takes him to Joon Hee to reunite the two friends.

2. How did Go Yoo and Joon Hee reunite?

Ever since Joon Hee left Go Yoo a note and disappeared, the two friends had not seen each other. In the present day, we see that Go Yoo believes Joon Hee is still alive and is looking for him.

Shortly after reuniting with So Yeon, Go Yoo meets Joon Hee again because of So Yeon’s efforts. At the end of the season 1 finale, So Yeon takes Go Yoo to a park where he sees Joon Hee waiting for him.

The series does not reveal what happens after the reunion. It is left open to interpretation. We also do not understand how So Yeon found Joon Hee or if the two friends still suffer from the consequences of cellular memory.

3. What happens to Joon Hee’s grandmother?

In the All That We Loved finale, Joon Hee’s grandmother passes away after a sudden case of brain hemorrhage.

It all begins when she goes to Joon Hee’s school after receiving a complaint about Joon Hee and Go Yoo’s fight. She apologizes to the authorities for her grandson’s behavior and also takes responsibility for Go Yoo’s behavior, as his parents were too busy to visit his school.

She promises to punish both the boys and asks Go Yoo to come to dinner at their place. Go Yoo refuses and says he will visit her the next day. However, the next day, Joon Hee’s grandmother passes out in the street and is taken to the hospital.

Go Yoo receives the news in school the next day and supports his friend in his tough times. But despite undergoing surgery, Joon Hee’s grandmother passes away. The two boys reconcile and sort out their differences, but Joon Hee disappears soon after.

Joon Hee’s grandmother was a significant figure in the series and a mother figure to both Go Yoo and Joon Hee. She brought up Joon Hee all alone after his parents’ death and treated Go Yoo as nothing less than his own grandson. She sold flowers on the street to support his grandson. Her death was one of the most emotional moments in the series.
