Obtaining the Urumi Whip in Elden Ring – Weapon Location & Map Guide

Players are starting to explore the capabilities of dual-wielding whips in Elden Ring. They can help you launch short to mid-ranged attacks while opening a plethora of opportunities for you to inflict immense damage on the enemy.

This is especially true when players use weapons such as the Hoslow’s Petal whip, which they can obtain by completing Diallos’ questline in Elden Ring. However, to unleash the true damage inflicting potential of this weapon, you need to pair it up with another whip, namely the Urumi, by the method of dual-wield.

Although it looks like a whip, the Urumi is actually a sword that is curated from a special material that permits it to coil up like a whip.

Combining the Urumi with Hoslow’s Petal can result in a magnitude of damage that you could’ve only dreamt of. Nevertheless, the only obstacle between you and this destructive weapon is the journey to obtain it.

You can get your hands on the Urumi whip by traveling to Caria Manor, located in the northwestern region of the Liurnia of the Lakes. Additionally, you need to jump off a few roofs and find a corpse, so the need for a major boss fight is somewhat absent.

Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide to help you obtain the Urumi whip in Elden Ring.

Step #1 – Make Your Way Through Stormveil

Stormveil Location

To get this revered whip, you need to head to Liurnia. This place is situated north of Limgrave and is accessible via the Stormveil Castle.

While journeying through Stormveil, you’ll have to defeat Margit and Godrick. Upon killing them successfully, you’ll gain access to Liurnia. However, you can also get to Liurnia by resorting to the Cliffside path and avoiding Stormveil entirely.

Such a shortcut connects to the broken and abandoned bridge east of the Stormveil Castle. As a result, you reach the same place regardless of the path you choose.

Step #2 – Go to Caria Manor

Once you enter Liurnia, your next destination is the Caria Manor. It’s located in the northern region of Liurnia. In order to arrive at the manor, players need to go through the Kingsrealm Ruins.

This region is rich with Rowa Fruit and Mushrooms. In addition, you might come across enemies such as the Aristocrat and the Wolf, so it’s essential to be careful and prepared for combat. Another demanding boss you may encounter here if you wander for too long is the Royal Revenant.

Consequently, avoid strolling around this region for a longer duration and take a quick passage to the Caria Manor.

Step #3 – Progress to the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace

Upon reaching Caria Manor, keep moving forwards to make your way to the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace. When you reach the bottom, take the road to the narrow paths, which will take you to the roof of Caria Manor.

Subsequently, you’ll face the options of continuing straight and taking a left or right. Choose to progress straight until you reach a few stairs made of stone. On your right, you’ll encounter a lit-up blue torch.

You’ve to jump towards it and head to the right, in the direction of the stairs. Climb down the stairs and take a good look on your left. You’ll come across many enemies in the form of hands and a corpse lying down behind them.

Destroy the hand enemies and claim the Urumi whip from the corpse!
