House of the Dragon Season 2 Leaks: A Bloody Dragon Massacre on the Set

The second season of House of the Dragon will focus on the devastating consequences of the Targaryen civil war.

The first season ended with Aegon Targaryen ascending to the throne and Lucerys Velaryon giving up his life to Aemond Targaryen in a dragon duel. The conflict between the rival factions of the Blacks and the Greens will escalate in the next season, as both sides wield powerful dragons.

Recent leaks from the production of House of the Dragon season 2 offer a glimpse of an upcoming battle scene. Twitter user @UnBoxPHD and Daily Mail shared several images and videos from the set, showing a large-scale clash involving soldiers, horses, and fire.

The leaked images show several knights in vivid armor mounted on horses, while others engage in combat on foot.

The close bond between Rhaenyra and Alicent Hightower prevented the outbreak of full-scale war for most of House of the Dragon season 1. However, there were still some violent confrontations.

Aemond lost his eye in a brawl with Lucerys and other Targaryen children, and Daemon defied King Viserys’ orders and killed his wife. These were shocking moments, but they will pale in comparison to the level of brutality in season 2.

The second season of House of the Dragon will have only eight episodes, two fewer than the first season. However, these episodes will include the above-mentioned battle scene, which will demonstrate the dire consequences of dragon warfare.

Season 1 gave glimpses of the dragon’s destructive power with the Crabfeeder attack and the Aemond-Lucerys duel. These were fierce encounters, but they were nothing compared to the full-scale dragon battles. The viewers will also empathize with both sides of the war, as they have been well-developed in the first season.

The leaked footage also reveals that the dragons will not only target each other, but also the human armies. The Targaryens will unleash their fire-breathing beasts against ordinary knights armed with shields and lances.

Even Lucerys’ small dragon is a huge advantage over the heavy metal armor that the other Houses’ soldiers wear. The Targaryen civil war will involve the whole of Westeros. As Daemon recruits more dragons, the stakes of House of the Dragon season 2 will only get higher.
