Rhaenyra might have dodged the accusations for now, but the theme of incest is likely to continue throughout the series. It’s also possible that Daemon harbors romantic feelings that go beyond lust for Rhaenyra.

Once the news breaks out that Rhaenyra is to marry Laenor Velaryon, Daemon is likely to stir up some trouble, considering he offered to marry Rhaenyra himself.

5. Episode 4 Recap

Rhaenyra is on a tour to look for potential suitors and starts to grow weary after seeing their rehearsed ego-fuelled speeches about how the union would strengthen their kingdoms. After a particularly disappointing set of suitors, she returns to King’s Landing.

Daemon too returns to King’s Landing, this time as King of the Narrow Sea, a title he was given after his recent conquests. He makes it clear he doesn’t wish to challenge his brother and offers up his sword to the Iron Throne.

Rhaenyra is happy to be reunited with her uncle and the two remark how they’ve matured since they last saw each other. Rhaenyra tells Daemon how she thinks marriage is a death sentence for women.
