Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel to the popular 2017 open-world action game Horizon Zero Dawn. The plot follows Aloy as she explores distant lands to discover more about the world’s history and avoid a forthcoming extinction.
A leaked Sony document discovered on DSO revealed that the PC port of Horizon Forbidden West could already be in development.
Horizon Forbidden West was released back in February as a PlayStation exclusive. Lately, Sony has been developing some of its biggest games for the PC platform as well, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Marvel’s Spider-Man, to name a few. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Sackboy: A Big Adventure for PC will be launched this month.
So, the rumors of a PC remaster are not entirely baseless. The document in question was allegedly leaked from GeForce Now, NVIDIA’s video game streaming service. It contains a list of titles reportedly coming to PC in the near future.
Even if the rumor holds true, do not expect Sony to make an announcement anytime soon. Although the document does not list a release date for the PC port, it could be a while before we actually get to see the game.
The leak also mentioned a possible multiplayer Horizon game for both PC and PS5 and a Horizon Zero Dawn remaster. The remaster has been disputed by fans who believe it is too soon for a remake since the game is only five years old.
Horizon Forbidden West is available for PS4 and PS5.
