The series follows Tsubasa Shiki, our main character and a high schooler who just moved from Tokyo to Kitami, Hokkaido. Upon reaching there, he is awestruck by the beauty of Kitami’s snowy plains. On a whim, he got out of the taxi before he reached his destination, thinking he’d just walk the rest of the way.

Being from Tokyo, Tsubasa really underestimated the winter in Hokkaido. As he was suffering from freezing cold, he spotted a blonde girl in the distance. He’s taken aback by how pretty she is, but Fuyuki Minami, the girl in question, catches him looking at her and asks what’s wrong.

Tsubasa asked her for directions, and after getting them, as he was about to leave, Fuyuki stopped him. Then, Tsubasa realizes how bad of a decision he made by getting out of the taxi since his new house is very far away. He decides to wait for the bus with Fuyuki as that’s his best option.

While having a conversation, Fuyuki is fairly surprised to find out that Tsubasa is from Tokyo. The two of them quickly get close, and just as it happens to be, Tsubasa will be attending the same school as Fuyuki. When the bus arrives, Fuyuki gets on, but Tsubasa just stands there feeling mesmerized by her beauty.

The next day, the two of them meet again at school. As if fate is intentionally doing this to them, they see that not only are they in the same class, but even their seats are next to each other. As the cold in the classroom catches Tsubasa off-guard, he is made to borrow a blanket from Fuyuki.

After school is over, the two of them walk back to the station together, and before getting on the train, Fuyuki invites Tsubasa to her home. With a shaking heart, he reaches Fuyuki’s home the next day. The two of them decide to watch a movie, but Fuyuki falls asleep halfway through.

Once she wakes up, Tsubasa prepares to leave, but Fuyuki is still a bit dizzy from being half asleep. Just as Tsubasa leaves the house, a sudden realization of what happened hits her, and she runs outside to stop him. She drags him to a convenience store to treat him for falling asleep and the episode concludes.
