One of the mini quests in Hogwarts Legacy involves collecting 30 Moon-shaped ornaments from Demiguise Statues, golden figures that look like a mix between an ape and a sloth.
Before you start collecting these moons, you will need to complete “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” quest from Gladwin Moon, Hogwarts’ Caretaker. He will teach you the Alohomora spell that will help you unlock the doors to where the Moons are. Once you collect 9 moons, you unlock the level-2 locks and with 13 moons, the level-3 locks.
There are a total of 9 Moons placed all over Hogsmeade. They might be slightly difficult to spot but don’t worry, I’ll tell you exactly where you can find them all.
Also remember, you can only collect these Moons when it’s night time in the Wizarding World.
1Hog’s Head
Head into the pub and go behind the bar. The Moon should be on the other side of the wall with the hog’s head, on top of some crates.
2Dervish & Banges
Dervish & Banges is on the right side of Gladrags Wizardwear. As soon as you enter, you’ll see a Moon on the counter.
3House across from Brood and Peck
On the opposite side of Brood and Peck, there is a small house. Enter the house and there should be a Moon just above the fireplace.
4House behind Honeydukes
Behind the Honeydukes shop, you will see a hut. Unlock the door to this hut and you will immediately see a Moon inside.
5Three Broomsticks
Enter Three Broomsticks and climb up the stairs, all the way to the top. Open the locked door and you will see a Moon on the table in the centre of the room.
6House next to Three Broomsticks
While you’re still near Three Broomsticks, you can go the house to the right of it. Upstairs, you will find a Moon placed on a small table.
7Tomes and ScrollsTomes and Scrolls
To the left of Thomas Brown, the shopkeeper of Tomes and Scrolls, you will see a bedroom. Enter the room and there will be a Moon on the dressing table, next to an Eye Chest.
8Hogsmeade Home
In the alleyway near Tomes and Scrolls, go to the second house on the left just past Ollivanders. You will need a level-2 lock for this.
After you open the door, go up the stairs and you will find a Moon in the room on the left.
9House next to J. Pippin’s Potions
Use the level-2 lock to go inside the house beside J. Pippin’s Potion shop. When you go upstairs, you should see a Moon sitting on the dressing table.
