Harem anime is always a popular genre among otakus. Our male protagonist surrounded by beautiful girls trying to pursue him is where the genre truly shines. But, I bet nothing has prepared you for the gem that is the upcoming TV anime Girlfriend, Girlfriend. Based on Hiroyuki’s 2020 manga of the same name, Girlfriend, Girlfriend is the story of a guy named Naoya surrounded by four of his classmates trying to date him.
Girlfriend, Girlfriend’s official website has unveiled a teaser and some new visuals for this hilarious anime which is set to be released in July.
The teaser reveals our protagonist Naoya and introduces the four girls Saki, Nagisa, Rika and Shino. All four of these pretty girls are trying to date Naoya and compete with each other to be the only one in his heart.

The anime will premiere in July in the Animeism programming block for Japanese TV channels MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS.
The original manga is currently still ongoing and will be published under Kodansha Comics from April 6th. Girlfriend, Girlfriend’s story focuses on Naoya, a guy who just started going out with his childhood sweetheart Saki. But the story’s harem aspect comes into play when three other girls confess their love for him, including Saki’s best friend Shino.
Will Naoya get away with dating four girls at the same time or will he perish? We can only find out once July rolls around. So, make sure not to miss the hilarity that is Girlfriend, Girlfriend!

Kanojo mo Kanojo is a Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki. Serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2020, and has been compiled into three tankōbon volumes as of November 2020.
Naoya, a first-year high school student, asks Saki out and they decide to start dating. However, out of the blue, Nagisa confesses to Naoya about liking him.
Though Naoya and Nagisa immediately get along, he tells her that he already has a girlfriend.
He suddenly proposes that they go together to talk with Saki about him dating them both at the same time. Although Saki is reluctant at first, she agrees to date Naoya with Nagisa at the same time.
