Since the anime’s fifth season ended with a massive cliffhanger, fans have been eager to know what happens after the last episode. You will be delighted to know that the wait will be over pretty soon!
Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU will premiere in July 2021. The sequel anime series has posted an extended version of a previously revealed trailer.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of just how gory the anime can get. The chibi characters might be able to deceive everyone, but fans know about the darkness lurking inside.
Higurashi SOTSU is structured so that the plot about the tragedy is told from the point of view of Satoko.
Apparently, the player is changed from Rika to Satoko in the upcoming anime series. Ryukishi07, one of the creators of the series, had reported the detail in an interview.
The trailer also reveals the English title of the series as Higurashi When They Cry: Graduation.
Crunchyroll and Funimation will be streaming this anime like all the other Higurashi titles. Higurashi GOU was simul-streamed by Funimation since its release on 1st October.
Cast members from the previous seasons of the anime will reprise their roles in SOTSU.
In the last episode of Higurashi: GOU, Eua assures Satoko that she can now control the tragedies in each loop. Content with this outcome, Satoko calls out to Rika with a disturbing smile on her face. The ending was a perfect buildup to Higurashi: SOTSU.
The changed point of view will add a new layer of excitement to the anime as we all know the twisted past of Satoko. Will this series be able to highlight her character even more?
