Episode 7 titled ‘Curse-Revealing Chapter, Part 1,’ marked the return of Teppei Hojo to the village of Hinamizawa.
Earlier in the episode, Rika and Satoko came back to Hinamizawa. Satoko confronted Rika for wanting to leave Hinamizawa and brainwashed her into thinking that Oyashiro-sama got upset with her wish.
Later in the episode, Satoko went to her uncle Teppei’s house and asked him to come long to Hinamizawa.
She took him to a cottage, ensuring no one saw her around, and lied that everyone in Hinamizawa is bullying her. She also informed Rika that she wouldn’t be living with her anymore.

Episode 8 Preview & Speculation
Satoko dying in a loop means she can’t follow Rika. That explains why Rika always has to pass first so she can guarantee that Rika will loop, and there’s a fragment for Satoko to follow.
Eua reminded Satoko about how she can’t withdraw, and if she gets killed before Rika, she goes to a world where Rika won’t exist. It looks like her warning will come into pass later, as Eua can see through the future.
Later in the episode, Satoko lied about being bullied in the city. So now we got the answer to why Teppei would assault Keiichi later in the story.
With every passing episode, Satoko becomes more and more unredeemable. I wonder what Eua’s endgame is. Or maybe she doesn’t have any and entertainment is all that she wants.
It looks like we’ll get a case to revisit for Teppei in the next episode.

In the other dimension, Satoko looks at Rika through the fragments and comments that she needs to suffer more. Eua reminds her that she began this game and cannot withdraw. She adds that if she dies before Rika, she will be transported to a dimension without her.
Rika opens her eyes in a different dimension and finds Hanyuu staring at her. She realizes that a tragedy has happened again and vaguely remembers Shion killing her, so Hanyuu tells her to calm down and think it over. But being tired of dying, again and again, Rika starts crying.
Rika wakes up from the nightmare and finds Satoko in front of her. Satoko tells her that the divine energy of Oyashiro-sama must be telling her something through her dreams. Satoko asks her if she said something to make Oyashiro-sama mad.
When Rika refuses, Satoko tells her that she heard her saying about wanting to leave Hinamizawa. She tells her that as a priestess of Oyashiro-sama, she shouldn’t have said that, and maybe the nightmares are some kind of punishment for disrespecting Oyashiro-sama.
On June 11, 1983, everyone enjoyed the barbeque after winning against the Okonomiya team in a baseball match. After the party, Satoko heads to her uncle’s house while the others clean up.
While cleaning up the house, Satoko asks Teppei if he would die for her, as he claims. She asks him to come to Hinamizawa to help her with something. She takes him to the cottage and makes sure no one sees them together.
After closing the windows, Satoko lies to her uncle and says she was bullied in Hinamizawa. She asks him to live there with her. Later, Satoko tells Rika that she will not live with her anymore as her uncle has returned, making her sad.
