Higurashi Episode 6: Release Date, Predictions, Watch Online

In the very first scene of Higurashi’s Episode 5, Keiichi wakes up to a phone call where Rena and Mion tell him to meet up for club activities.

The scene is from the past as the camera shifts to the calendar showing the date as June 6th, 1983, which was days before the Keiichi’s attack.

Later, Keiichi mistakes Shion (Mion’s Twin sister) as Mion and talks to her. Shion then informs him that he is mistaken, and the two greet each other. Rena also learns about Mion’s sister through Keiichi.

Shion later rescues Keiichi from some goons’ hands, and Keiichi observes as every villager glares at the goons with deadly intent.

1. Episode 6 Release Date

Episode 6 of the Higurashi anime, titled “Cotton-Deceiving Chapter, Part 2”, has been released on Thursday, Nov 05, 2020 at 11:30 pm PDT.

The anime series is confirmed to have two cours. The first cour will contain 14 episodes which will broadcast from October 2020 to January 2021.

Episode 5 ends with Keiichi being rescued by Shion from the hands of some goons. But the look on Shion’s face and the faces of other villagers is scary with killing intent.

But this memory is of June 6th, 1983, way before Rena attacked Keiichi.

Fans wonder why the villagers are on edge before the Watanagashi festival and what happens to Keiichi after he is hospitalized.

3. Episode 5 Recap

Keiichi wakes to Rena and Mion’s phone call reminding him of the club meeting. The memory is of June 6th, 1983, days before the Watanagashi Festival.

The three go to the “Da Vinci” shop where the rest are gathered and compete to win the club competition.

Keiichi befriends Tomita and Okamura, who go to the same school as him and his friends. He wins the game by enticing Tomita and Okamura to help them with their crushes on Satoko and Rika.

Rika advises Keiichi to give his doll to Mion, and Mion blushes upon receiving it.

The scene changes to June 13th, and Keiichi has lunch in Angel Mort with his father. Keiichi finds what he thinks is Mion wearing a revealing outfit, and he compliments her for it.

Later he finds out it is Mion’s twin sister Shion and apologizes to her. Shion introduces herself and leaves.

While returning home, Rena learns about Mion’s twin sister Shion from Keiichi. Keiichi returns home in a hungry state to find Shion waiting to hand over a bentou box with food to him.

In school, Keiichi hands over the empty bentou box to Mion and tells her to thank her in his stead.

Rena and Keiichi talk about the girls’ different personalities, and Keiichi wonders if Rena is the opposite of how she usually behaves. Later the girls remind Keiichi of the upcoming Watanagashi Festival.

Keiichi visits Angel Mort later that evening and accidentally bumps into some bikes. The bike owners bully Keiichi and ask for compensation. Shion comes to Keiichi’s rescue and orders them to release him.

She glares at them with death in her eyes, and suddenly tons of villagers with the same death glare surround the goons. Keiichi watches the whole scene unfold.
