III. Why might the series get a second season?

People often drop the idea of watching it because it contains a lot of juicy-ness in it. Still, unlike many other series, Highschool of the Dead actually has a brilliant plot under its fanservice too. One can’t forget the jaw-dropping direction from the legend Tetsurou Araki himself.

At the end of the first season, the show hinted at a second season following the journey of the highschool boys and girl in the apocalyptic world. Subsequently, there are a lot of storylines to cover up and gaps to fill in. So there’s a very high chance of getting a renewal of this swashbuckling action series.

There’s no official announcement on this matter and might not happen this year, all thanks to the spread of Covid-19.
