Higehiro Episode 8: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

Higehiro episode 7, titled “Yearning,” has been released this week.

Last, we saw that Sayu found a new way to look at things. She now has the drive to keep going forward regardless of the obstacles in her path.

In episode 7, Sayu feels like doing something special for Yoshida. Asami helps her in setting up a unique dinner.

Mishima conveyed her true feelings to Yoshida. Sayu’s brother almost confronted her.

1. Episode 8 Speculations and Discussions

The title of Episode 8, “Summer Festival,” is revealed at the end of episode 7. 

We expect to see another typical festival celebration. Sayu will force Yoshida to accompany her to the summer festival. They will engage in the different festivities together and have fun.

Sayu and Yoshida’s friends also may be present for the festival. There is also the chance of Sayu crossing paths with her brother, from whom she is hiding.

No, the anime Higehiro is not on break this week. Episode 8 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

3. Recap of Episode 7

Episode 7, titled “ Yearning,” starts off with a luxurious car suspiciously daily lurking around the area where Sayu works. 

Sayu feels obligated to do something special for Yoshida as he is always looking out for her. Just the other night, he told her that she could stay for as long as she wanted and would do everything possible to support her.

Asami helps Sayu figure out what to do for Yoshida. She decides to make him a unique dinner.

Meanwhile, Yoshida is at work. Mishima is eyeing Yoshida and is annoyed at the fact that Sayu and Gotou are closer to him and even have his contact information.

Struck by jealousy, Mishima asks Gotou to have lunch with her on an impulse. During lunch, she tries to get a reaction out of Gotou by talking about Sayu since Gotou is in love with Yoshida.

However, Gotou clarifies that regardless of her feelings for him, it is better not to force anything. She believes that if things are forced, they will eventually all go back to how they used to be.

Mishima disagrees with Gotou. Later, after work, she approaches Yoshida and asks him out to watch a movie. Yoshida politely declines since Sayu has prepared something special for dinner.

Mishima further asks for Yoshida’s contact information to be able to talk to him later. One thing leads to another, and she ends up admitting having fallen in love with him, shocking Yoshida.

The episode ends with a person coming out of the suspicious luxury car. Sayu realizes that the person is her brother. Yaguchi and Asami hide Sayu from him and handle the situation. 

Sayu realizes that she cannot keep running from her past, and it will catch up to her.

Higehiro or I Shave My Beard. Then I Pick Up a High School Girl is a novel series by Shimesaba. It was later adapted into a light novel series and manga. Its anime adaptation will air in April 2021.

Yoshida, an employee at an IT company, gets rejected by the girl he has liked for 5 years. Drunk and sorry, he heads back home but meets a highschool girl who strikes a deal with him.

They could sleep together if he lets her stay in his place. Even though Yoshida is against the decision at first, he slowly relents.
