Higehiro Episode 7: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

Higehiro episode 6, titled “Starry Sky,” has been released this week.

In episode 6, we saw Sayu open up to her friend and co-worker Asami about her past. She also crossed paths with Yaguchi, who had a role to play in her troublesome past.

Yaguchi tried to blackmail Sayu and take advantage of her by forcing himself on her, but Yoshida intervened and protected her.

Sayu has found a new drive to keep progressing forward without letting her past hinder her.

1. Episode 7 Speculations and Discussions

The title of Episode 7, “Yearning,” is revealed at the end of episode 6. 

From the preview at the end of the episode, we can expect the next episode to have a few flashbacks. This will probably have a lot of relevance in the present.

We can also anticipate the introduction of a new character who may directly impact Yoshida and Sayu’s life. However, we can be sure that we are all eager to know what is going to happen next.

No, the anime Higehiro is not on break this week. Episode 7 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

3. Recap of Episode 6

Episode 6 of Higehiro titled “Starry Night” starts off with Sayu being caught off-guard by seeing Yaguchi work in the same place as her. 

Yaguchi has played a role in Sayu’s past, which she does not bring up. Seeing Yaguchi brings back a lot of unpleasant memories from her past. 

Yaguchi is surprised to know that Sayu used a fake name with him the last time they met. Yaguchi is curious about Sayu’s current residence and asks her to invite him over after work.

Sayu has no option but to abide by what Yaguchi demands since he blackmails her by threatening to reveal her past to everyone, which is something Sayu is very afraid of.

After reaching Yoshida’s place, Yaguchi enquires if Sayu is having an intimate relationship with the house owner, Yoshida.

Upon knowing that is not the case, he tries to make a move on her. Sayu denies his approach and even ends up slapping him. However, this makes him even rougher and tries to force himself on her.

Luckily, Yoshida arrives at that very moment and rescues Sayu by kicking Yaguchi out of the house. Yaguchi states that regardless of Yoshida’s intentions, harboring a teenage girl without her parent’s permission is a crime.

The next day, Asami and Sayu are heading back home from work. Since Yoshida is caught up with work, he will be spending the night in his office. Asama offers to give Sayu company for the night.

This leads to Sayu opening up to Asami about her past, which she usually is very conscious about. Asami does not think less of her. On the other hand, she is proud of Sayu for making it so far on her own.

The episode ends with Sayu having a new drive to keep her going in life. She no longer views life with a negative outlook and asks Yoshida to support her for some more time, and he happily agrees to it.

Higehiro or I Shave My Beard. Then I Pick Up a High School Girl is a novel series by Shimesaba. It was later adapted into a light novel series and manga. Its anime adaptation will air in April 2021.

Yoshida, an employee at an IT company, gets rejected by the girl he has liked for 5 years. Drunk and sorry, he heads back home but meets a highschool girl who strikes a deal with him.

They could sleep together if he lets her stay in his place. Even though Yoshida is against the decision at first, he slowly relents.
