Episode 4 Recap
This episode starts with Wein and Lowa discussing at the tea get-together. Wein calls Lowa out on her plans to use Natra to prevent an uprising in the alliance nations the empire conquered. He states he knows there is an influx of weapons between Natra and the empire.
This influx is proof that Lowa is planning to let the Gairan province revolt within the empire. Hearing Wein’s claims, Lowa accepts that it’s true and explains how she would attain the throne. Wein then states to Lowa that the plan for Antgatal to fight for her hand won’t happen.
He says it’s because he sent a letter mentioning that the princess will visit Gairan. Later, Ninym appears and requests Wein to look at an urgent matter. Gerard Antgatal made his way to the kingdom to receive Lowa based on their letter.
Wein lets Gerard know that Lowa will be ready later, and there will be a banquet for the new couple. Meanwhile, Grenache Antgatal gets intel of the rebellion’s plot taking place and will wait for Natra to make its next move to take action.
Afterward, Wein and Lowa consequently plan each other’s next moves and think of a countermeasure for each step. Later at the banquet, Wein tries to lay the path for Lowa to take down the rebellion plot with Gerard.
Lowa counters by saying Wein should join them because Natra brought her and Gerard together. Gerard then finds Wein is good at swordsmanship and requests him to have a duel to impress Lowa. Wein and Lowa are astonished by the man’s words.
Wein plans to make a fluke that would seem the duel is a draw. Sadly, Gerard loses the duel by a slip and gets mad. As Gerard tries to attack Wein, Wein acts as though he didn’t see the attack happening. This act makes Gerard go off to the balcony and fall to his death.
Back in Gairan, Grenache gets news of his son’s passing and wonders if this was a planned assassination by Natra and Lowa. Afterward, Wein knows this incident will cause trouble and is annoyed.
Lowa then enters and states she gives up her plans of rising to the top and wants to focus solely on taking out the rebellions. Wein and Lowa then have a reasonable talk on what can be done to stop the revolt in the empire.
