Episode 2 Recap
This episode starts with Wein and Ninym facing an unexpected action by Natran army of taking the gold mine. As they talk about the expected attack by the Kingdom of Marden, a miner brings some intel.
Wein is stunned that the Jilaat Gold Mine is nearly spent. Being bummed that they got a worthless gold mine, he gets an idea to settle things with the Marden Kingdom and make them buy back the mine.
Afterward, Marden’s army prepares for an attack to take back the gold mine. Wein plans to guard the mine and force the Marden army to withdraw so he can propose the peace agreement. As the fight for the gold mine begins, Marden faces many setbacks and is astonished.
It is explained that Wein’s advantage is the terrain. Mountains have narrow paths making it hard for Marden to attack by force. With many days passing, Drawood loses Commander Angril to a trap laid by Wein and gets attacked by Natran forces at night as a distraction.
Two weeks later, things are going according to plan for Wein with his one-month defense strategy. An envoy is sent by Drawood, revealing a peace agreement, but Wein coolly denies the peace agreement’s conditions.
The commander then insults Ninym before he leaves. Wein confirms that the words said are Drawood’s and sends a message wishing luck. In the third week, Drawood orders a full offensive attack on the Natran army to end the battle.
As the battle takes place, two soldiers appear and state they have an urgent message. Drawood realizes it’s Wein disguised as one of his soldiers. With Drawood’s army busy with the battle, there’s no one to back him up.
Drawood tries to fight back, but Wein finishes him off for insulting Ninym. Later, the Earthworld Ambassador, Brandel, discovers that Wein had topped the empire’s military academy, raining concerns for the Kingdom of Earthworld.
Afterward, as the Natra Kingdom celebrates its victory, Ninym calls Wein aside and tells him the Marden Kingdom has fallen. Wein gets bummed again that his plans are falling apart. Ninym then reveals a miner found a new gold mine not far away.
Wein is relieved there is hope for getting profit and can rest. Ninym tells Wein that rest is out of the question, for he has meetings with the kingdom’s officials and other nation’s ambassadors. Wein annoyingly yells, “I can’t wait to sell this kingdom and disappear.”
